  13. On a cold snowy day, Janey made her way through the drifts and fiercely falling flakes, toward the yellow house on the hill. Visions of hot steamy tendrils drifting up from a porcelain bowl kept her spirits high, the smell of tomato soup almost real in her nostrils. The rich red texture of the pending tomato dreaminess melting on her tongue. She lifted her leg another inch forward, her tiny six year old legs, aching with the exertion of making it up the hill in thigh deep snow. her motivation was only charged by the gift that awaited her in her soup bowl. Nothing could move her more. The reward would be delirious!
Her Mom opened the door of the warm inviting home, beckoning her forward. Finally exhausted, Janeys red snow boot touched the cleared first step of her childhood home. The creamy goodness of tomato soup was finally hers!
“Come in, darling” cooed her Mom. “I’ve made chicken pot pie for lunch…….”
