  27. Torch lights the fire. It’s the small fire that makes a big fire when it comes in contact with fuel. It can create a good fire that warms us or it can eventually destroy things if it gets out of control. Torch would be a good name for a product or rock band.

This was the sort of place kids shouldn’t play, she thought. But if she went back now, the others would laugh at her for the rest of her life.

  32. The torch was lit, but it only brightened a small part of the room. The power was out. Again. Didn’t Mother Nature know she was tired of these storms? Night after night she sat in the basement “shelter,” to keep safe against the heavy rain and strong winds.

  40. a torch is a way of seeing where you’re going. it can be carried around the world and through the arctic and through caves and underwater i suppose if someone figured it out. torch can be a verb and it kind of sounds like teach, which is a funny coincidence. it also sounds like scorch. scorch the front porch with a torch.
