  1. The trade rout to India was blocked. A row of ships stood in the way of the merchants. Black flags donned their sails. Pirates. It had to be. The scourges of the open sea. Reaching the main land would be difficult with them in the way.

  2. “For sell or trade?” Those are the words she hears, from the two men that are talking around her. She stays quiet, looking at the ground. It makes no difference to her what is done. It would not change anything, only change who she obeyed and who she listened to.
The first man, who she had known longer, looked around the dim store at the rest of the merchandise, thinking. After a moment, he nodded to himself, handing over the chain that was clasped to her neck to the other man.

  4. I wish I could trade places with anyone right now. Where I am right now I don’t want to be. I wish things could get better. I need them to get better. What am I going to do otherwise? Oh God, please.

  5. Trade means to barter with another person. When you trade, you dont use money. You give one thing to another person and in return they give you an object too. This technique was used often in earlier ages. Now a days, people use money more. When you are young, you trade your lunch with another kid to get a better lunch. Trading is not always the most efficient thing to do because you could receive something that is of less value than what you gave and in vice versa. Trading is always an option though if you have no money on you, I am trying to write a paper for school and I need help so i stumbled writing and this is what came up. Its not really working but I guess it is helping somewhat. Its getting my mind to think fast instead of just blankly staring at the computer screen

  6. “Wanna trade?” I heard it every day, I had nothing to trade. My lunch box had the lion king characters on it , but the colours were faulty and the inside always smelled like mould. The other kids had amazing lunches crafted by their mothers every morning . I made my own, lunches and they were battered and badly formed the tops slidding off the bottom over the slimy cheese.

  7. We traded in our friendship for love,
A deal not worth the price.

  8. Helplessly, she fell to the ground, sobbing. The time was past. She had run out of options. Sitting on the curb before this happened, she watched the taxi drivers speed by, oblivious to her tears. Tomorrow, she would trade in this body, this mind, this life, for something bigger. Death? Maybe sooner.

  9. instead of opting for the usual, she brought in the one thing she thought she could never get rid of. It was small–so small in fact that it fit nicely in her pocket, next to her house key and her state I.D., which she carried around since she didn’t have a driver’s license. The problem with trading something this small would be getting her prize home. She planned on bringing home something much bigger and

  10. “I will trade you a Ken Griffy Jr. rookie card for that Tim Hardaway rookie card. Deal?” That’s what I said to Todd, my best friend as a boy. We made the trade and I promptly dropped the card I received between the deck boards of his parents’ house. He offered to undo the trade, but that didn’t seem fair to me. I was out a card. Kinda bummed, but that’s life. Sometimes you drop things down a hold. Other times things fall in your lap.

  11. To love is more than to trade one’s heart for another. It is to share one heart and mind. Do not trade happiness for wealth. Do trade love for looks. For if you do this than you may end up unhappy.

  12. id like to trade a item for another item. this item doesn’t have to be of any monetary value. it doesn’t even have to be of some equal value of the item i am trading. I just simply want something you want me to have. a trade that is fair will make this transaction a secure transaction. if you have something you want to give me, well, then I have something i’d like to give you.

  15. I love the trade fair that fourth grade does each Christmas. Not only is it a better way to exchange “presents” for the holiday, but it teaches students about the history of Native Americans in our culture. Of course, the one draw back, is the amount of family involvement. Some children receive a tremendous amount of help thinking of ideas, planning for the trade fair, and purchasing supplies. Other children receive little to no help with this project. In other words, the playing field is definitely no level when it comes to items made.

  16. It’s said that Robert Johnson traded his soul to the devil to attain his skills as a blues guitarist and singer. What would you trade your soul for? What if the world you live in now is worse than any hell you could imagine? Would you still hope for that chance meeting at the crossroads? Sam didn’t think so. He could care less about those tall tales. All he wanted was a warm place to sleep and some place to call home. A bit of food on the table. A woman to love. Happiness is a lot easier to come by when you don’t have anything to your name. Nothing to lose. The world to gain.

  17. Trade your heart for someone else’s. It is the only way to see through someone else’s eyes, and through this, you can start changing the world.

  18. “A body passed from hands to hands just as food or clothing or animals. Just for the color of their skin.”
“But why mommy?” The little girl asked.

  19. The word trade is interesting: one can think of commerce or you can begin to imagine the other meanings of this word. Some people trade their souls for money or their ethics for a religion. This doesn’t seem to be a particularly fair trade, as it were. I think you should never trade your morals, regardless of what you get in return. It’ll never be worth it.

  20. I traded away my childhood, one pokemon card at a time, in exchange for a boyfriend, my own apartment, and the experience of growing up. Then I wrote a play about it and I traded my personal experience and soulful work for public opinion and money. Then I traded obscurity for fame and fortune. And with my new salary (that I got by trading compassion for the ability to bite) I bought a 2-pack of pokemon cards for my 5 year old son.

  21. I’d give anything for one – even if just for a day. To trade the day for someone else’s. Someone not so alone, so broken, so alone. The days go by so slowly, and I’d give it all for one that just didn’t.

  22. Just not feelin’ it today. Wanna trade my life in for a new one thank you. No employment hopefuls on the horizon….week one BILLION…. Trade up, trade over, trade on the open market….ANYTHING.

  24. Trade thoughts and emotions with all the others around you every day of your life. Do not take for granted all that you have at your own advantage. Everyone that you meet has a story, has a tale to tell and you can hear it. Trade with them for stories that you can tell them. They may teach you more than you ever thought they could.

  25. Pass it along. Just don’t talk.
    Don’t look at the person.
Give it to him quickly. Don’t make eye contact. He gives you something and you blush. It’s just another pencil. But he smiles and kisses your cheek. Way more than a simple trade.

  33. I would trade quite a lot for reasonably little. But it’ll be for things that matter to me. Hypothetically speaking of course. I’m not going to be making any deals with the devil, he’s bound to rip me off somehow. Sneaky bastard.

  34. sometimes we trade more for things like love then others trade back in return. We give it all and get little back and it hurts, but its not without a lesson. We learn and we try and we come always come out stronger in the end, no matter what is traded
