  10. I always say I’m a traditional girl. I always wait for the boy to make the first move, say the first word, ask me out first. I’m happy with that, I think it’s a good thing to keep the tradition alive. I also like having to do something as a routine, like celebrating anniversary and such.

  17. Something I am not, but want to be. But also something I don’t want at all. Somehow it’s a jumble of contradictions like everything else in my life. I run towards and flee from tradition. My son, however, deserves better. For him, I must find a balance. I cannot be flighty for him. He needs more than that. But then at times, I am way too serious. Not flighty enough. Is there ever a way to make things clear again. You know the answer, babe. muah!

  20. I was watching a video about divorce this morning and that made me think about traditions surrounding marriage. The guy was talking about how divorce still has a stigma of shame around it and I can understand that because with more people campaigning for marriage rights around the world it would seem more people love tradition than we think.

Sometimes it’s good, a favourite great grandmother’s recipe for chocolate cookies, passed down through generations. Sometimes it’s bad, harming young girls to keep them “clean”, because its tradition and you can’t ignore tradition.
