  21. I think my life has many moments (more lately) that I would describe as tragic. My relationship with my parents and my (non)relationship with my mother and sister is tragic indeed. I also find it tragic when I realize those situations will be the same 50 years from now.

  34. Tragedy is a terrible thing–how cliched is that. You can’t really explain it. It just happens. And then there-sadness. Everything becomes this terrible, terrible thing. So much is enfolded in that word. What can you really say about it? How can you really tell anyone what it is about it that makes it just so terrible? No one can really do it.
