  14. At the bottom of the Bibby-Cheshire’s garden was an old railway carriage with it’s axles on blocks. It had stiff heavy handles and bolts inside and was painted British racing Green. The seats were gone and now it was the home of a flock of budgerigars and a flight space defined by wire mesh was attached to an open window at one end. Cheeping bubbled across the lawn and pond and all was sleepy and at rest. Where had it been? Where was its engine? Where were the fellow carriages of its working life?

I took the ball and marvelled at what I was able to do making all my shots and performing all the moves. He took the ball back tied one arm behind his back and did everything I had just done.

It was unbelievable. He was a wizard with the ball and not like a Washington Wizard. I saw him do the incredible in front of my eyes.

THE TRAIN WOULD PASS THROUGH ENDLESS RAGGED, FILTHY PLATFORMS, LUSH PASTURES AND A MILLION OTHER SIGHTS – SOME BEAUTIFUL. SOME UGLY. WHO WOULD MY FELLOW PASSENGERS BE? WOULD THEY BE BE JUST LIKE ME – PEOPLE WHO HAD BOARDED THE TRAIN NEVER TO GET OFF? OR WOULD I SEE THEM LEAVE THE TRAIN WHEN THEIR DESIRED DESTINATIONS ARRIVED?
