  1. And when I look at the tray, I am reminded of the bacon-and-egg breakfast I ate on the settee in front of mid-moring television. Nothing about a three-in-one deity comes to mind – let’s face it, Three-in-One Oil is a lot more useful than any god.

  2. I grabbed my lunch tray as i lazily peered over the sneeze guard. Pizza….Salisbury steak. It must be embarrassing to make salisbury steak as a lunch lady. It is so cliche.

  5. I remember sitting at the hospital in Zell Am See, visiting my Oma… We were sitting there, she had broken her arm, and I was taking pictures. There was an ashtray on the table… I photographed it in black & white, as well as a few shots of my mom and my oma. They both looked less than happy.

  6. Today it snowed in my Jersey shore town of Ventnor. I had no shovels to dig out my car from the 1 1/2 feet of snow so I used an old cafeteria tray that I stole from my college. It worked splendidly.

  15. i dont like trayss they stick to your food, or your food sticks to them its hard to say exactly whose at fault, but im sure someone is. Well when I find out who did it, i’m going to really give them what for. The tray though okay not always responsible for sticking, sometimes its good to carry stuff on, but i mean unless someone trips you then, man, that food is gone.

  16. Sitting in my corner of the desk, i watch as the papers fill, never to be seen again. Atleast, it is for me, as I will never again go back to them, no matter how long I tell myself I will. I will never see my chem notes again, or even my old report card. Gone, vanished.

  23. The lunch tray was sitting on the table, solitary and unclaimed. Remnants of today’s lunch still clung to the edges like vestiges of some past time. Carly stared down at it in disgust before adding it to her already growing pile and moving on to the next table.

  26. Tray. Tray. A tray just makes me think of lunch, lunch in an elementary school cafeteria, or an old hospital with sub-par food. The kind of food they don’t even bother to make well, since everyone there is either dying or too sick to care about how it tastes anyway. I remember I had to eat at a hospital once, and I promised myself I would never let that happen again.

    “Don’t.”
