  3. The war in Iraq. Obama is going to send 30,000 more. I was listening to the radio the other day and these super opinionated radio talk host guys were saying the dumbest things. Like, “Why didn’t we just send a million troops to Iraq when the war started?”

I have so many good things about the troops fighting for our country because they are leaving their families to protect our nation. a woman i met today, her husband is in the army. he hasnt been at the last 2 halloweens in their new home. it made me sad for her, but at the same time i am so happy that we have beople there.

  7. My husband would be considered a “troop” in one way or another. He’s in the Air Force but he’s what they like to call a “pointy head.” He fixes the planes. I could never have gone through basic. I could never summon up the courage to join the military. And I could never have been strong enough or smart enough to do what he does every day. I love him.

    Do they know how much their families miss them? Will their children see them again? Will they remember them when they’re gone?

  11. They are stationed in countries overseas and fighting for freedom. They are risking their lives for a meaningless war because the United States thinks we have the right to involve ourselves in everyone else’s business. I hope they all come home soon and no one else dies.

  12. I don’t want to write about the word troops. I know nothing about troops, which is sad considering the media attention, and the attention I should have given them. How will I explain to my children that I don’t know anything about the War in Iraq except what I learned from reading History?
