some of the most bravest mena and womean i can possible imagine. They sacrifice everything so that i have a life of freedom and dont have to worry about fear and opression. My cousin in the us navy is very special to me and i thank god everyday for the sacrifice that he has made. These mena and women are doing something that no many even think to do unless forced and they have the most respect that i can possibly give them. i may not want or think war is good in any way shape or form but im proud that there are those willing to fight for the lives of others. Never have i ever felt more protected then tnen the day i saw them march home on long island or seen a soldiers welcome home banner off a bridge.

Currently, President Obama has ordered more troops to go to Afghanistan. I hope this doesn’t affect my cousin. He’s in the national guard. He just got back from Afghanistan a month or so ago, and last week, he proposed to his longtime girlfriend. It’ll be very sad if he is forced to go back. I don’t understand where these 300,000 troops are supposed to come from.

the troops were tired so were we. We had traveled 17 hours only to get to the Grand Canyon after sunset. The drive was beautiful as the sun was setting but mom and I knew we would be too late and that we would have to turn north without seeing the canyon. The troops will not be happy.

Stone-faced reporters describe brutal murders, which are condemned as inhumane and vicious, then report battles abroad, which are treated as sacred defenses of our fundamental and inalienable human rights. A nation of peace? I think not.
