  15. The trophy sat on teh top of the mahogany bookcase in my father’s study. It was gold, and it shined from the light nemitting from the bare bulb that hung from the cracked ceiling. He polished it every day, and no matter how hard I looked, I could never find any trace of tarnish, or even a lone fingerprint. Sometimes, I thought he might have cared more for that old trophy than he ever had for me.

  16. It was layoff season and Belinda didn’t survive it. She’d got called into the main conference room on her floor and been given 2 boxes and 2 hours to dump 22 years-worth of family pictures and beanie babies into it. On the way home she stopped off at Trophy Wives Exclusive to apply. “NO!” the receptionist yelled. “For the very last time, YOU’RE TOO OLD!” Belinda blinked. “Well, I could be a trophy wife for an 80-year old tycoon, couldn’t I?” The receptionist just glared at her and buzzed Security.

  18. He lifted the head up for the crowd to see. It was the trophy of his victory and nobody could ever dispute such a thing.
“This is her head!” His voice ran out across the battlefield. The barbarians looked to where he stood and his men lowered their weapons in awe. “Your Queen and leader is dead! I give you this moment to retreat and no longer plague this area.”
The barbarians looked at one another before rushing his men again, shouting guttural words of victory. He knew there was no way they could win, he had broken the Queen’s enchantment…now they would all die and Germania would be his.

  19. Trophy. Usually a thing meant to convey success, but often I see it contains trappings. It confines one into a molded thought that winning is everything. Trophy wives, for example, are hot MILFs, but do they really make you happy?

  21. I always get trophies. I’m a straight A student who behaves in class and I’m usually the teacher’s pet, even if I don’t want to. I get trophies all the time. Straight A’s, Perfect Attendance, Occasional B’s, Best Reader, Commended, Most Behaved, Teacher Best. You name it. I try my best in everything I do. And apparently that’s great for my teachers. Yet it’s not for my parents. They expect me to get more. And i’m tired of all the things I have to do to get the trophies I get now.

  22. My trophies. I have several. The ones of material value; like my medley of boxing trophies. And some of spiritual – and these are the important ones.

  27. Trophy’s are cool I like trophys i dont know they make you feel special, once you get a trophy it’s like nothing else, it makes you feel like you are actually appreciated, and that a trophy is a reward for not being forced in talent, but for being yourself. i wish i had a trophy, self confidence. It’d make me feel good.
If i had trophy’s i would feel like a bigger person. A trophy is something worth cherishing because it reminds you of what you did that actually could have changed someones life. Trophy trophy trophy, okay yeah.

  30. is an afford that you get when you won a tournament, competition, or when you make something right

  31. no one ever asked her how she felt. maybe it wasn’t so great sitting at home all day, with her husband out on business trips all the time. the maids who come clean the house don’t get along with her well, so she doubts they would even be friends if they could all speak the same language. she does get together with friends, but there is always a sense of anxiety amongst the group when they get together. she worries about the inevitable day when her metabolism will slow down, and botox can always have its less than desirable side effects. besides, she would really like to travel some day. maybe stay in hostels, not have to worry about manicuring her lawn nor her nails, and just throw all the bullcrap to the wind.

  32. A trophy is a sign of worth in some peoples mind. You receive it when you are a true master of your craft or your sport. Trophies can also be seen as symbols of accomplishment.

    Peter Dittmann
  33. I’ve always thought of a trophy as something that is very prized [no pun intended] it’s always given out to the person or persons who deserved it…. and most people take it for granted.. It should be something held up to a higher name, not just something you expect it, but something that you worked hard for.. Trophy’s are under looked in my opinion.

  34. The moment of victory is much too short to work for that and nothing else. Victory is sweet, but the challenge getting there is much sweeter. Victory is one the best feelings in the world. Nothing in the world compares to accomplishing your dreams. MY DREAMS.

  35. mine is a little arrow head shorter than my little finger, fashioned by a craftsman more than five thousand years ago, resting in the soft earth untouched until now when it rides around with me in my coin purse, it is my trophy of a very near victory, a closest ever pass to heaven on earth, I’m holding on to what I valued there, if its for you it won’t go by you and I know that its for me, next time I orbit past this thing I’ll not hesitate or question, I’m going to fly at it like an arrow, I belong to this dream, the connection is deep and ancient, and no-one’s giving it to me, I’ll claim it my own way, as it will claim me

  37. He sat on the floor, pulling his old things out of the closet. And there was the trophy. In his hands, it never seemed to lose its former glory. But there was a twinge of regret, staring at the trophy. A twinge of longing for days that would never return.

  38. its an award that you win when you do good things or when you participate in a local sport as a child. It can be used to show success or just that you even tried to do something. most people like to show off their trophys i don’t know many people who hide them in a closet like oh no i didnt do that, theyre shiny too =)

  39. i always wanted a trophy
really shiny, with a figure acting
i always wanted something that showed my worth

  40. “I won! I won! I won!”
I can’t believe she won! She practiced and practiced, she put in the work. I knew she would be good. And I do believe in her, but, WOW, she actually won. I guess I just didn’t think she would. I knew she would try her hardest. It’s just that there were other who I thought would have come in first, those who had way more natural talent. It just seemed to come easier to them. I know as a parent I probably shouldn’t have, but really, I already had a speech planned. On how she tried her hardest, and how I was so very proud of her and all the hard work she had put in, and how winning isn’t everything…… I’m amazed! She looks so happy and I AM very proud of her!

“Great job, Sweetheart! I knew you would!”
