  12. jeans that are vintage are way more authentic than the “faux” vintage you can buy in a store. I mean, really, who wants to buy the vintage that are actually 100 dollar jeans made by poor Cambodian children factory workers and then paid minimum wage so they can rip it to make it look so called authentic. What kind of age do we live in?

  13. 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, even when we are out of 2000. The world will become less and less amazing. Just a mess of how we treated it in the past. Our Earth will become vintage. We are vintage. We will grow old. But we will still be loved by certain people. Everything and everyone is vintage at one point.

    Blahh.

  15. walking into the vintage store you see a variety of antique genuine and old pieces of work, each holding a meaning to the people it had once belonged to. you only see the rough tattered surface never knowing the memories and feelings hidden in its design. the lives its impacted all embedded in its surface.

  23. the old vintage clothing store was at the end of the road. we used to go there when we were younger and try on yellow prickly women’s suits from the sixties. i wish i could wear vintage clothing. that is a great desire of mine–to go and buy some chuck taylors and faded old boyscout uniform shirts and wear them with a pair of hand me down cut off jeans.

  24. its really fun because they sell the old clothes that are coming back into style according to stupid designers that you can buy for a lot of money in a brand name store. or get it for two bucks at a thrift store. and the real clothes from salvation army are cooler because they have history and character. theres something about them instead of clothes that will look ALL the same on the street thanks to designers.

  29. I can’t help but feel that you’re replacing me.

This is the same vintage store we always came to, the five of us. The memories I have of our visits to this place are happy, all of them, each one somehow distinctive. We loved looking through the racks of clothing, some of it chic, most completely insane. We made fun of what was ridiculous and tried on what we thought might make us just a little bit sexy.

But now I’m alone, wandering past the gaily colored racks by myself. I can’t help but think that the colors have dulled, lost their charm. It’s a lonely place now, and I’m slowly understanding that this is how things are always going to be from now on.

  35. clothing is so rare to find in a country that has gotten behind…on time. It takes two to tango in this fallow illusion, but one is enough to end it..if there’s commitment. How old is old enough to go into tough, times like these with an optimistic view of a child from crows feet like these.

  36. Vintage teeth. Yellow, witchy wooden teeth. Like George Washington. Why is there stereotype about British people having bad teeth? It makes me want to go google up a picture of Prince Charles. Maybe the queen has bad teeth too??

    Jessica
  37. Vintage poop:
A fine aroma with a hint of age-
    Base notes of veal
    Mid notes of peanut
With high notes of Italian dressing and corn.

  38. I go to a lot of thrift stores, and I see a lot of old clothes. It always surprises me how long vintage things stay on the rack, probably because the fashionable young ladies of now are afraid to be seen in some of this stuff. I’m talking /real/ antique clothing, here, stuff my great-grandmother wore when she was younger. In some sixty years, it’ll be jeans and T-shirts that are waiting on the racks for someone not afraid to wear their great-grandparent’s clothing.

  39. vintage is a word that talks about the uniquity of an object. It is also the antiquity of it, as you could have vintage furniture, but not food.

  40. vintage…quality, old school, a classic. Like a classic car. I’m trying to think of the proper way to go about this, do you need to write whatever..but it says don’t think, write, which is what I’m trying to do. Vintage, like an old wine that still tastes good (although I can’t see a wine tasting good)
