  12. MArriage, what is marriage about? and why do so many young people get married? I have dated the same girl for the past three years almost now and I am only twenty years old. I don’t even think about marriage now, my life is my priority and people need to wait to read their sacred vows to one another and know what they want in life is the partner they are choosing that day, vows are important and should only be used at the right time.

I feel this differentiates Catholic marriage and general marriage and further proves that they should stop being so stingy with the term “marriage” and get over same sex marriage.

I think that we must adjust as time goes on to fit the things we discover about ourselves even into our older years. But when I think of vows I also think of fulfilment. If we can follow our vows, our lives will benefit.

    dont make vows flippantly. they are very holy articles. don’t take your vow lightly. They hold great rewards for the faithful.

  31. wedding. we just got married a few months ago and we had to write our own vows. this wasn’t even my idea. it was my fiance’s. i’m the english major and he hates to write. i of course put it off until the last moment, hoping he’d change his mind and we’d just go with the traditional ones. it’s not that i hadn’t thought about them…but he had so we wrote our own and though we hadn’t shared them with each other, when we read them aloud at our wedding, they were ironically similar and amazing sweet and filled with love.

  40. Vows? They’re like promises. I do not make promises, for I seem to keep breaking them. My memory betrays me and soon I find I broke something I found very important.
