  2. I don’t want to get married, today. Perhaps tomorrow, or next year. But not today. You see, I want to write my own vows, and I haven’t done that, yet. It’s a really serious thing, and I’m not sure I have the knowledge and experience necessary.

  3. Vows are promises meant to be kept but so often broken. I can’t count how many times someone has “vowed” something to me, had me believing in them just to let me down. Vows are only as good as the person vowing something to you.

  9. vows are supposed to be personal, supposed to be long lasting. but why so often to people break them, similarly, why so often to people renew them. falling out of love is sad, and needing to be constantly reminded id ever sadder.

The vows we had when we were first married no longer applied. she changed. i changed. that’s the only thing now. if we ever have a chance to have our happily ever after, it certainly isn’t now. so now i just want to fly away. fly away with some one that i can actually promise to live with forever.

  11. A Vow is the word that is at the top of the screen there. It is purple and in all caps. Not in comic sans, so that’s pretty neat, I guess. There’s not really much to say. I guess I might have been too meta with this.

    it is deepened within our soul since we were young by our parents as they were taught by their parents.

    it is something that is hard to keep and keep up with.

  16. vows are meaningless nowadays. they shouldnt be but no one takes anything seriously anymore. Wedding vows? just expensive shows. Divorce is just a phone call away. Contracts? Just hire a lawyer to break it.

  18. giving yourself to some one reqauires you to write vowes to that special person you love. This is what that special person means to you in your life and how you will stick with them through thick and thin, what you expect from them in the future of being together till death do us part.

  24. I write again of vows because I think they are important. I think they are made more for the person who is making them than the person who it is made for.

    The person saying the vow wants assurance that they can do it, and most only say it out loud because they think it will be better if someone else knows it. It isn’t, not always…

  38. vows were given by all the attendees at the event. they vowed to give their vows whenever the screen said GO. there was some turmoil at first as some people wanted to have a definition for vows, since vows for you might not be the same as vows for a hedonist or a philatelist.

  40. These little jerks are surrounding me. Everywhere I look, there they are. More people are taking them and entering into that thing we call marriage. And as more people do that, the questions start to stir. When will you find someone? When will you take the plunge?

    While I can’t answer that question, I can say this: I vow to do what is right for me.
