  3. I once walzed with a girl who wore a red gatorskin pillbox hat. She was nice and had a pleasent smell, but she kept stepping on my feet with her dagger like heels. Afterwards, I walked home alone in the rain, and I could hear the sound of cats in the alleyways as I walked.

  6. Synchronous movement, trapped within time and culture, beautiful and flawed all at once. I don’t know if a waltz can break free of itself or reinvent itself through it’s own beauty. I would like to see the evolution of the waltz, I want to know what the next step is, or create it.

    Andrew Meare

  16. The Band’s final concert was called the Last Waltz. Waltz’s look boring, but maybe that’s just because I never learned how to dance properly. I hate making a fool out of myself. The last time I tried a waltz was in my second grade ballet class.

  17. I love to waltz. I learned to waltz from my great grandma who was from sweden. I wish i would have learned how to do it better though. and when she died a few years back i really regret not having talked to her more. She taught me a lot. But,she really loved to waltz, and i miss her a lot. You shouldnt ever take things for granted. waltzing is amazing.

  20. Dancing with red ribbons strangling the necks out from between head and shoulder. Drool dripping down the mouths of ruffled curtails and dresses. Erections protruding through slacks tightly bounded around pulsing heartbeats through hairy Euro-legs. How great it smells and how wonderful the picture. Men and women sharing sexual heat at a distance with gender specific ideas that are held common between the two. Maybe three. Maybe more. Spin. What the Fuck????

    Matt
  21. She danced the dance.
    A weasel she was,
    For she knew the steps,
    To dance the waltz.
    She spun, she twirled,
    She took a bow,
    For she danced the dance,
    The waltz.

  24. she didn’t waltz all the time, she decided to stop every now and then to adjust her dress, and tried to catch his eye. but alas, his eyes were on another, the girl with the blue dress. she should’ve worn her blue dress. she met her mother outside and they tried out the blueberry pie, but it tasted like nothing because he didn’t see her. ever again.

  25. waltzing matilda, waltzing matilda, u’ll come a waltzing matilda w/ me.

Barry, snap out of it – it’s a bloody kangaroo! What kind of song is that for a lonely man to have buzzing about his head.
    I’m not banging a bloody kangaroo…yet.

    amy
  26. the huge ballroom spread out before her. She glanced down at her dress. pathetic. why would she think this was a good choice? had anyone seen her yet? could she just leave without anyone noticing? or should she stay? she’d never been to a ball before, why not stay?

    gracefulness.

    Nikki
  28. on the dance floor the shoes clatter and glide. The men hold women in their arms like broomsticks- their arms holding them stiffly unsure off what to do- though their feet know the steps. The waltz continues

    Patrick Corliss
  33. Waltzing around in a pretty blue gown, like a princess, but just a poor girl from a poor town. And her prince charming isn’t perfect, with freckles and a lazy eye, but she doesn’t mind one bit when its his heart she wants. Waltzing the day away with a true companion.

    marie
  34. Miss Pettigrew lives for a day. I must say, my favorite song in that is the Coctail Swing, not so much the waltz that Miss Pettigrew dances, but the swing. Expecially since it is played on piano with the actor being Lee Pace.

    kelsey
  35. I love the waltz. One two three, one two three. Its one of the most fluid movements in dance and music. Anyone can do it. You just need a partner and a big, poofy dress, and you’ve got it. One two three, one two three. I think it would make a good name for a horse too. Hmm, maybe I will suggest that one to a friend of mine.

    Kate
  36. A dance. I picture people very gracefully dancing across a dance floor. I see two people in love dacing the night away while just staring into each others eyes. It seems like a very intense moment. Love is full of passion.

    Karlee Wilson
  37. Dancing eloquently in a fashion of olden times with romance and manners like I’ve never seen before in our time. something that shows the true mannerism of a relationship between a man and woman, or at least what it should be.

    jade
  38. I’m going to waltz onto that plane and NOT be afraid of it, I swear. I don’t have any good reasons for being afraid of planes, other than inexperience. And I’m going to waltz off that plane, and not be afraid of London, because cities aren’t scary, I LIVE in city, just… not a very big one… and I’m not very big either.

    Jillian
  39. waltzing matilda was a song i learned in elementary school. I didn’t like it until I heard Tom Wait’s version. Waltzing.. so old-timey.. kind of circus-y, if that’s a word. Reminds me of a circus, carnival. When I hear something in waltz-time I get a pit in my stomach.
