  5. want is all about desire – passion – longing. it is how we express who we are when we have moved beyond needs – how we distinguish ourselves from the rest of our kind. while we all share a need for food, shelter, warmth, caring – what is it that we want out of life when we have all those things?

  7. Want is a strong desire to achieve something. You hear it so often when you have kids. I want this, I want that. Please mommy, I want this and I won’t ask for anything else ever again. What about what a mommy wants. That is always what I wonder.

  16. I “want” is so different from I “need.” Today people want so many things, but they don’t really need them. Others in the world are truly in want, but they are really in need. The trick is to figure out what you want and what you need.

  30. want is… not need, basically. it’s what we’re after,but there’s nothing saying we should have it. as a word it’s often used as a bad thing, but of course it can be perfectly legitimate.

    I mean, I want a biscuit right now. That’s not like terrible. Although I have got shooting pains in one of my teeth so maybe I should avoid sugar.

    But I don’t need that biscuit, I really don’t. That’s really the definition of want.

  40. i want it. i want to have a better life. wanting is something tht we all need. people want better lives and many other things. but it is said tht we should work for what we need but not what we want. but just think for a moment. don’t you think that we also deserve some of wht we want? we want things. and it’s just how the human brain works. it’s not like we can control it.
