  1. welcoming. Hm. it’s when you go to the dog kennel to pick up your two year old lab, and he runs and jumps on you, proceeding to slather your denim capris in mud from the rain that had just fallen. he welcomed me.. it was the best welcoming.

  2. She did not welcome him with open arms. In fact, it was more of a pout, back turned, hands over her ears. He had brought flowers, a bottle of wine. She’d have none of it and she told him so, before she completely shut down.
    In his defense, all he did was to answer honestly when she asked if the pants made her look fat.

  5. Opening the door, I could smell the softly burning incense drifting in through the indoor window. I knew it came from the kitchen of my best friend. His mom was sure to be making some new excellent recipe, and I was glad, because my mom had told me I could stay for dinner. I was always welcome there.

  8. i really dont think welcoming is a great indication of an emotion, or characteristic can I say? someone can not have a characteristic of welcoming allll he time and therefor would it not be more of a mood. You should say the person is feeling welcoming, not the person is welcoming. improper! damit!

  10. When I went to the mall yesterday, I was surprised with everyone’s reaction to not seeing me in such a long amount of time. I’d have reacted equally back… but I didn’t. They were overwhelming. I like the smell of the mall- popcorn, new clothes, you know. And there’s is a faint sound of oldies music playing, most of which I’m ashamed to admit I love.
