  1. it really surprised me, I must say, when their deliberate gossip reached my ears. If they were going to talk trash about me, it would’ve been at least considerate of them to close the door.
It wasn’t so much the fact that they had beef with me that bugged me, it was that they wouldn’t tell me straight to my face.
So I was spreading my wings and flying away. Big deal. Life was starting for me and I didn’t need them to control my every move from then on.

  2. Wings. Hundreds of wings fluttered around her head, batting against her face and her bare arms, sending tingling of brilliant pleasure down her spine. The feel of the butterflies wings against her set her heart to flutters, and made her feel as though she was actually truly welcome in that life. Still, it also made her feel as though that was not the life for her. The only love she ever got was form the kind, gentle insects, and they made her want to spread wings and fly, fly away with them.

  3. One of my best friends for life has lost his father. I did my best to assure him that the wings that his fathers has newly acquired will safely guide him to heaven, that he is perfect now, and that all of the aches and pains of life have gone away. Death is never easy that’s for sure. The only thing I know is that it comes for all of us.

  4. One of my favorite scenes from the X-Men movies was when a young Angel tries to cut off his own wings. That scene gave me chills. It sounds dorky to say I am SO into the X-Men movies, but I think they are interesting and relevant for a lot of reasons. I like the way they explore the burdens of eccentricities and also the acceptance (or lack thereof) of differences.

And because of my constant pondering of you and all you are to me, I just wish to be able to grow wings and fly to you. Close the gap between us and be together.

Fucking RedBull you’re so full of shit.

  15. I used to have wings.
They were pale blue, and transparent-
    sparkling at the tips.
Then one day, I flew too far
into a brick wall of Growing Up.
Now all I have are the broken stubs
    of innocent memory.

  20. I can barely feel the fluttering, glittery angel wings as they fly by, grazing my shoulder. Oh to hold one in my hand for one magical moment would be a dream come true. To look into her eyes and see her bless me with a smile would be a wonderful moment. Thank you Angels everywhere for the blessings you bring to us all who believe in your magic.

  21. As the wind is pushed beneath me, I feel my body lift off the ground. My stomach drops as it’s confused. Beat. Beat. Beat. The wind flies by my face as I fly by the clouds. At three years old, flying is all I ever dreamed of.

And her mother will give her wings to fly. She will fall at first, and stumble around. But her mother gave her wings to fly.

  24. Not seeing in your eyes the pain that has shattered your reality creates the distance felt by confused fluttering wings of my soul. God give us grace that the dissolution of our yearnings will give rise to a peace, harmony, and clarity of our hearts. If it’s meant to be, it will be.

  25. used to eat them

  26. Not seeing in your eyes the pain that has shattered your reality creates the distance felt as by confused fluttering wings of my soul. God give us grace that the dissolution of our yearnings will give rise to a peace, harmony, and clarity of our hearts. If it’s meant to be, it will be.

  27. I didn’t know whether what in frnot of me was real or not. How could such a beautiful thing, cause so much chaos among the heavens. If only I had listened earlier, I knew he was telling the truth when he told me, but now I’m stuck. Stuck in the grief of self loathe. I looked once again at his face, his hair. But most of all, his wings…

  28. If I had wings, I sometimes feel I would fly away. To somewhere that I could rest. Recharge. Calm. But to leave now would feel like foolishness; it would be foolishness. I used to pray for wings and the courage to fly away from all of this. Now I pray for the courage to stay and be the best me I could be. I am in love, and that has made the difference.

  29. Wings. I have wings. The cold membrane brushed up on my bare back as i stood in the damp forest. They weren’t the wings i was hoping for, but they’ll do for the time being.
“What do you think, dear?” her shrill voice called from high in the trees.
“Don’t call me dear.” i hissed back. I wasn’t her dear to call. That name was reserved for him, the boy i would take back with my new wings.
My eyes scanned the foliage beneath me, and landed on the charred remains of my dead wings. Black mingled with dark red and blue, the colors of my former wings. They where dead now, and completely useless.
A loud crash sounded behind me, and it was at that moment that i felt the shame. My body grew tight, and i could feel my bones and muscles being strained, shrunk. It wasn’t the most pleasent feeling, but i had to put up with it if i was to get back my man from the evil woman. My dark red hair was longer than i was used to, and it tickled the small of my back, falling in damp strands over my feminine face.
“You are so small… Beautiful, though.” she cooned, her voice like poison.
“I need clothes. Do you have any?” my voice sang, not words, but like the sound of leaves or a brook.
“Why, yes. For someone as small as you, of corse.” she flitted back to the top of the dark tree and into the tangled mass of branches. I looked to my back where my small wings sat. They caught the sun, filtering it onto the ground into a beautiful array of blues, greens, purples and yellows. My yellow cat-slit eyes scanned my surroundings and my body, and i was indeed small, so small in fact that i could fit in your palm. Looking back up to the tree, i sighed.
“This is not going to be fun.” And with those words, my feet lifted off the ground, and i was in the air, accending towards the dark branches.

People often mislead you at their will. They like playing games with people

  31. Conner is an Angel now.
He was my best friend for many years.
I loved him dearly though we never met save for the Internet.
So many people judged us and we never cared. We ignored them.
Like turtles we hid away from those people.
We were like lovers hiding in the turtle shell.
    Love.
    Hiding.
    To be loved.
    To be wanted.
    It was perfect.

    May you rest in peace.

We sat in silence, and my eyes could bear it no longer, and they began to cry. I saw where he must go, where I’m sure he would love his wings.
“I’ll lend you my feathers,” he had said, it seemed so long ago.
And there, resting its grace on the top of the gravestone, lay a single feather,
so that once again I may reach the fallen angel I had once known.

  34. take me higher than you ever thought we could go. stretch your wings and learn how to use them. admire others and let other admires you, to a certain degree of course darling. there is no need to feel like you have to impress anyone. there is no need to take steps and make a silly decision.

  39. She stretched her ivory wings out beyond her shoulders, rubbing her hands together and gazing softly upon the town nestled in the heart of the valley.
