“Come on, Kayla, just, like, breathe a little bit.”
“Maybe I could, if my ribcage wasn’t over top of my ass–“
“Girls! Try to be more in touch with your inner chakra.”
“Did she just make that word up?”
    “SHHH!”

We finally unravel ourselves at the ding of the bell.

The tape ends with a click and I’m left in the dark, wishing to be that uncomfortable again.

  6. I once met a man name Yoga. He was six feet tall, bent like a fork that had met with Uri Geller. His skin was pink and wrinkled like a walnut.

    Yoga saved my life.

I was lost in the swamp of nineteen, looking for a cigarette and a college. He found me an apple and a beer. That was all I needed.

  9. Wow. I wish I was that flexible. What is that, the tree or something? Looks so relaxing. But thinking about my body doing that. OW. No flexibility. I should stretch more. Yoga would help. Yoga helps a lot of people….. Maybe I should take up yoga?

  10. i tried doing yoga once. it didn’t go very well. i was sore for the next day and half. it was a yoga fusion class. my body is not yoga compatible. i mean, i guess it’s good i know this now. so i didn’t make the rash decision to pursue a career in yoga teaching.

  11. She bends backwards, forwards, her limbs elastic and soft and flexible. Sure, this is probably the creepiest thing he’s ever done in his entire life… but it’s nice to watch her move in ways that he’d never be able to.

  12. Yoga class. Really? What on earth makes anyone in their right mind think I can stretch that way? Sleeping dog, stretching tree, cat-in-a-canopener, or whatever the hell they come up with this week. And this is supposed to be relaxing? How am I going to relax when my kidneys are in danger of exiting through my neck?

  13. Yoga. I just asked for complete silence in the room. Here sits my nephew, and my Mother, and they are wanting to talk. Wanting to say something. That will throw my brain out of whack. So I do mental yoga, to make everything go away. To make the sounds disappear. But they speak, and the yoga that I should’ve really done, is the one to stretch far to flip, and kick them in the mouth. I lost my train of thought. I cheated for .2 miliseconds.

  14. There is Yoga of the mind and of the body. learning

  15. It’s harder than it looks, and is more strenuous, too. Stretch, balance, stretch some more. Like a pretzel, you bend and pull and twist. But it feels good. They say you’ll look good after a while.

  20. Ummm, yoga reminds me of a tree frog. Not a lot of people have seen a tree frog in a dignified position and the same goes for the average yoga enthusiast. I bet the inventor is laughing up in heaven, “Look at them doing all that crap I made up!”

  21. Yoga is the art of finding peace. When doing yoga, you typically contort your body somewhat, often in ways not typically experienced in the normal range of motion. Many people find this relaxing, and doing yoga daily can be good for your mental and physical health.

  22. I want to do yoga. Like everyday. But I just don’t really have the self motivation to do so. It’s really sad actually. I’ll probably end up just eating more and more junk food. Pathetic. Time’s up.

    Selam
  23. Yoga feels good. It’s crazy how a person can stay in an awkward position for so long with minimal discomfort.
I used to go to yoga classes at church. Then I became agnostic and I stopped going.
Funny how I miss yoga more than I miss religion.
Or maybe it’s not funny. Who am I to judge that?

  24. I want to try yoga even though I am kind of cynical about it. I see it as something that works for others, but doesn’t quite do it for me. Perhaps this is a weakness of mine, the fact that I tend to close myself off from things that don’t seem “me” enough, preferring to stick to things I know I like. hmm.

  25. My mom does yoga.
She told me this story two days ago about how the activity center at her workplace was holding a free yoga class trial, so she decided to forward the email to her workplace’s new manager.

No one really liked the new manager–my mother thinks it’s because she was too shy to talk to anyone–but she really appreciated being included in the email. It made her feel included for the first time.

Just goes to show how much one little thing can do.

  26. My dad used to do yoga everyday when I was in school. I don’t remember a single day when I haven’t seen him in front of Ram Dev ji.

  33. YOGa. I absolutely love yoga. It makes me feel centred, relaxed, quiet!!! I could go on and on about it, all day long. Perhaps not straight after doing a class as I would then be feeling quiet. But at any other time. Sort of running out of things to say know. Yoga, a great way to spend one and a half hours in any one day (perhaps even twice a day if you’re really keen).

  34. You’re amazing, and I love you so much David.
You don’t even realize how you make me feel..
It’s unbelievable the way you take my breath away with every kiss.

  38. She bends over and promptly farts quite loudly, the other ladies in the room at first stay silent, then one starts to giggle, followed by another, then another, then another, until the whole room is awash with a sea of giggles.

“Oh dear.” says the Yoga Instructor. “I was afraid this might happen.”

  40. She relied on yoga for relaxation. It was seen as cheesy by some, but it did work.

    Omm…

She sat in lotus-position, closing her eyes and letting her consciousness leave her for a while. Omm.

    It was so relaxing.
