What of the glass that had its lustrous gleam covered by the layer of grime? The cloudy, murky darkness has washed away and revealed the original shine. Life is as such, there is always a second chance. Let’s start our New Year’s Resolutions a day early, and do what we can to right our past wrongs.
My eyes are gleaming this New Year’s Eve. I’m going to be on top of the world next year! My house is squeaky, gleamingly clean. My to-do lists are gleaming with their white emptiness! It feels both happy and sad to wrap up a year. May the next be even more prosperous!

It took a while to gleam what the old man was trying to say. Somehow it didn’t make sense but she sat down next to him while waiting for the bus, and asked him questions. He turned to look at her then smacked his lips and started to talk more clearly.
