"Oh no, you don't want to speak with her," the representative lowered her voice "She's Fractured, you know."
This is so irritating. I didn't travel this far for this long to get to Kelly only to have some idiot stand in my way. Kelly's Fractured, but she's not like the rest.
I need to keep my calm. Otherwise, I'll have no chance of seeing her.
I take a deep breath.
"I know, but I'd really like to just see her, and maybe have a chance to see her." I try to be convincing "I've known her my whole life."
"You don't know her anymore. She's not the girl you grew up with. Fracturing completely changes people for the worse, but if you'd really like to see her, then I suppose I have to let you."
Kelly always made a point about how good I am at getting what I want.
The representative lady leads me through the cells and eventually stops in from of one.
"Here you are. Fracture #783297."
