The elastic in my sock popped as I pulled it on, so now it was sagging down my heel and pretty soon to the arch of my foot. What a lovely day so far.
I was driving then, the music blasting so loud that I thought it would surely crash right through me and knock my pounding skull off my neck, but anything felt better than letting myself think again.
