he flipped the magazine etween his finger tips letting the soft paper touch his skin. This relaxed him immediately, sending him into a trance of calmness that he rarely found. Nothing could distrub him, his mind was completely focused. Lilly sprang up from nowhere, her blonde hair hung in drapes of natural curls hiding her bright green eyes that revealed no intentions.
She snatched the ticket from his hand. Without thanking him she paced down the alley way, never stumbling or tripping though she was in stupidly high heels. It was a cold night and her clothing choice seemed like a good idea earlier on but now she regretted it. The dampness nipped at her cheeks and her hands suddenly grew cold. She could feel her heart pounding beneath her duffle coat.
She could hear the man following her. Quickly she began to walk faster. The man increased his speed which was scarily fast. He snatched her goat and ripped it from her back, revealing thin gnarled body. His body began to sweat with anticipation.
He plodded along, keeping his eyes on the ground. His trench coat blew in The wind, he quickly pulled it down to avert any attention he had brought to himself. He continued to walk along the path, each time a person walked past he would increase he pace then slow down. He saw Jenny at the end of the path, she wa smiling her 100 watt smile. Her flowery dress hung loosely on her slight frame.
The little girl ran across the lawn. She was wearing a pristine white dress littered with daises. In her hair she wore a blue bow. She stoppe running and turned to face me. Her eyes opened wide with fear and she screamed. A long piercing scream that Hirt my ears. I started to walk closer and she screamed even more, surely the neighbours were hearing the fear of this little girl?
I took her by the hand and told her it's fine it's mom. Stop screaming so we can go inside.
This is what I have to go through everyday. The screaming, the fear and the not knowing if my little girl will ever remember me for more than a day.
