Yesterday when I walked I felt alone. Walking is something that we do when we don't know what else to do. When you walk, you put one foot in front of the other but actually you don't even think about it. When he walked that day his mind escaped and he turned into a swan.

She was swimming in her own misery. She knew that in order to get out of this, she had to pick herself up and move forward. But then why did the water feel so good?

'Wild horses', she thought, brushing the hair out of her eyes. It was a mantra, a saying, something to get her through the days in the cubicle. But lately it had become as dull as the office around her.

Cheek-to-cheek we danced. I inhaled, breathing her in, my arms wrapping tighter around her. It was just us, the stars, the moonlight. No one to care at the sight of us. Two girls. In love.

Her skin was bronze and her legs were lean. Meredith sighed and shut her book. She folded her beach chair and tucked a lone hair behind her ear. It was no use. She would never look like that.
