He heard nothing she was saying. He didn't even notice she was talking. Head down, he wrote in his note book, jotting along to his punk music and tapping the page in time as he thought. Eventually, he looked up.
"Oh, sorry." He remarked taking out his earphones, "I didn't hear you."
"Oh my gosh!" She exclaimed, covering her eyes.
She only saw for a second but she knew what they were up to. She could easily identify the strangely sweet smell of sweat and the loud panting of two worn out teenagers.
