The sea of heads swarmed around the Great Hall. A great legion of adolescents, unprepared for the war they were unfortunately stuck in, crowded the whole area. His eyes searched everywhere for her. Dark bags under his eyes were clearly visible, due to his desire to see her that morning. His clothes were crinkled and haphazardly thrown on; unlike his generally organized and presentable appearance. As his eyes landed on a mop of chocolate bushy locks, the tension locked in his jaw faded away. She was safe.

Taken away. Gone. He promised he would stay. Why did I ever believe that? Oh yeah, 'cause he was my best friend. Does he know the pain that I've been through? Probably not. The tears that I shed weren't worth it. Nothing is permanent. Captured.

The door creaked open slowly. She trudged through the doorway. Blonde hair like a rat's nest, bloodshot eyes, grime under her nails. His salty scent was sprawled all over the blue cabin walls. Where was he?

Though the sight of the missjudged lied mysteries. The carefree act, well that was just an ACT. Fist bumps and smiles littered his path. Though, in the eyes.... Lied pain, sorrow, death. What HAD happened?

He stifled a gasp as he saw her. She stood at the entrance of the pavilion, chin up, yet a slight blush on her face. Her hair was tumbled down onto her shoulders. Her eyes were shining towards him, the stormy orbs now a light grey. She wore a elegant sea green dress that matched his tie. Everyone’s eyes were on her. Was this actually the same girl that had always worn old tee shirts and jeans? He smiled, a brilliant smile that was reserved just for her. But everyone saw. He took her arm and led her to the middle of the dance floor. As they slowly danced, everyone watched awestruck. This was the definition of love.

Pain. It hurt so much. It weaved throught my skin. My hands tensed as I lay on the bed. The sheets curled up at the end. My hair lay beside my shoulders, like waves of gold strings. Dry blood was splattered across my arm. The spots danced across my eyes. But in the end, it always could be worse.

My fingers twitched at the sight of him. Him, and his cute little lopsided smirk, and his shining eyes that seemed to stretch on for miles. BUT, I can't have him. He belonged to that red haired girl. Most people envied the little miss popular. Some, didn't mind her. She on the other hand, despised her. Because that RED was the one who had him, she was the one who could reach out and grab him close. I sighed in despair, "I guess my dad lied to me." I mumbled as I shut my book tight. Dreams don't come true.

The tears flew down her face as she fled into her room. The door slammed shut. Her hands found the silver chain around her neck, grasping onto it. Her nimble fingers worked around the locket, attempting to open it. Click. The pictures made her heart clench with agonizing pain. There they were, laughing, playfully shoving each other. She tugged the beautiful locket off her neck, and threw it to the other side of the room, underneath her bed. What has become of them now.... Three words was all it took to ruin what had taken years to make. I hate you.

When I closed my locker, I could feel a presence behind me. As I slowly turned around, my blond curls dangling in the air.... I saw him. With his midnight black windswept hair, and those beautiful green eyes that swirled around like the ocean, he was the definition of GODLY. The laughter was evident in his eyes as his lips curved up into a smirk. "You know," he started, "you're a lot more fun than people give you credit for."
