Manifest destiny is a strange thing people believe in. I don't understand why people think everything they do is predetermined by God. I guess I don't get where they draw the line. Did God decide eons ago that you'd go to the bathroom seven times today? Did He determined what you'd have for breakfast this morning? If this is true, do you have any kind of free will at all? It would be creepy if you didn't. That would really bite.
The balloon floated higher and higher, taking the small family over the sprawling landscapes of their native land. They watched as the view grew as they went higher. None of them had ever experienced such vivid green grasses or stunningly blue seas anywhere before. None of them could imagine their relatives living among such beauty when the stories they heard were filled with strife, war and death.
Joy is one of those things that a person can't fake. Either you have joy or you don't. If you don't have it, it sucks. If you do have it, life is something you can face with no problems at all.
Stilts make you taller, which I like because I'm short. Being short is no fun at all. You miss things and can't always see what's going on around you. Stilts are usually really tall though. I think they could make some 6 inch stilts that just give me six more inches so that I can see what tall people see and not get lost in the crowd. That would be awesome.

I feel incomplete because I feel like I'm missing a lot. Not so much that I don't understand a lot, but that I have a lack of a lot. I'm struggling with this feeling of incompleteness. I feel lost and confused sometimes because everyone else around me seems so very complete from my view point and I just don't feel that way at all.
The King was adorned with velvety, scarlet robes encrusted with jewels that sparkled like stars. Your attention was drawn to his gilded crown and his trustworthy smile.
