There was a tropical typhoon on the island once. The wind blew like it was the world pushing with invisible hands. I saw trees lying almost horizontal on the ground and there was litter everywhere, draped around the trees, caught in bushes. A lone umbrella tumbled past me, so fast it would cut you if it touched you. I felt like I couldn't breathe because the wind snatched away the air.

When referring to something as historic we refer to something that happens in the past. Sometimes these are good things but mostly they're bad. Everyone knows 9/11 but how many remember or know about the Great Pizza baking in Germany that happened in the same year? They say the pepperoni slices were the size of sewer lids and actually made you feel like a pig.

welt

Once when I got lashed by a whip I had a pink welt on my back. It burned for days and when it started to heal it was very itchy. The skin would pull tight as it tried to mend itself and I wanted to just scratch it open, even if it hurt, actually I hoped it would hurt because sometimes that is a good hurt. Like when you lost a tooth and stuck your tongue in the hole, that pain you feel right in your spine. But it's so good.

cone

A cone is placed in the road to mark where you can't drive. I once stole one when I was a student. It was dirty. I also stole a plastic spoon and got caught. It was embarrassing and strange because it only cost 50c in the end and was atually free. I wonder what would have happened if he hadn't given in in the end.

There are lots of bottles that stand on the hill. Green bottles like Heineken. Sometimes you see parts of them washed out on the beach and they look like beautiful rocks. It surprised me the first time I realised it wasn't natural. But sometimes it seems that pollution can look pretty although it still angers me that people can't just get up off their lazy asses and and

A savage is someone that is not civilized, a man that is also an animal. It is also the nature of some peope. My country is filled with them. We live in fear but we live. I wish It didnt have to be like that.
