Almost. I almost had it. I almost had it figured out. I almost knew what was to come next, but I let it slip. Or did it float?
How close is almost to certainty? We make the two seem far closer to each other than they actually are. I am scared to find out that almost is not close at all to what I really want, what I really need. Almost. Almost not.
