When you look up into the clear night sky and contemplate the billions of stars in space, it really is hard to fathom that we, as tiny as we are, are all a part of this vast universe. We are made from, and will one day return to stardust.

He knew the time would come, even though his son looked up to him now, that he would falter and that the boy might think much less of him.

The cut looked like it could use a couple of stitches, but Jack didn't have time for that. He rummaged through an old junk drawer and found a half used tube of Super Glue. "That should take care of it," he thought.

sweep

In the time it took him to go back to his room to get ready she was able to sweep and mop the kitchen floor, and they say girls take forever to get ready to go anywhere.

You don't know about life. You're not the one that has to be out in the trenches everyday, so don't tell me how things are so unfair. When you have held the hand of a dying crack addict while her children stand by looking at you with tear filled eyes, without understanding what is happening, or why it is happening to their mother, then you might just begin to have an inkling of an idea of the dirty reality of this thing we call life.

"To Hell with them!" That was his first reaction. His environment, had played a big role in his way of thinking, and that is where his answer had been derived from. He didn't actually care about the facts that had been presented. He had his opinions that were biased by his upbringing and he wasn't about to change his mind.

For years I have heard preachers yelling about the wrath of God. It seems like they think God is sitting in Heaven on his throne with a giant club just waiting for you to mess up so He can crack you over the head with it.
