His eyes ravage her.
She stands before him awaiting his touch, his control. She wants nothing more than to let go and lose herself in his direction.
He reaches out and runs a single finger down her cheek. He's controlled and calm on the exterior but inside his sexual desire is revved up beyond all measure. She will be his to guide and his to consume.
She swings silently
Through the spiral.
Around again
Through the hollow spaces.
Ribbons of time,
Knotted angry tendons,
String her up like a marionette.
Dances awkwardly disjointed.
Until the societal chains of conformity break away.
I felt my heart skip a beat.
He looked at me and I could see
A longing that I haven't witnessed in so long.
I almost forgot what longing was,
What loving was.
Sharing a smile, a look.
I could see in his eyes a shared idea and desire.
We were on the same wavelength.
Something I hadn't felt in what has felt like a millennium.
Standing alone. Breathing hard. Tears stream endlessly down her face.
She tore out her own heart. Wore it on her sleeve. Pretended he would never bring her harm.
He stood. Didn't say a word. And in that he proved exactly why he was never worth her time. The absence of words, of emotion, or expression cut deeper than the betrayal.
My intent for writing that wasn't for having someone tell me they loved me after all this time. It was to get everything off my chest, for my feelings to be out in the open. I had no idea that the feeling was reciprocated. Had I known would I have still sent that initial letter? Is this what I'm supposed to be doing? is it a path or is this a distraction and a test that I'm so obviously failing? I'm not sure what to do now...I keep floating on and hoping that something right pans out of all this. That the right decision is going to be obvious when deep down inside I have a feeling it never will be and in the end 2 people will be hurt...Me and the other is still yet to be determined.
