The clashing of cognitive dissonance burned through the still air. The antagonist stands facing our hero, flipping her fake blonde hair, all full of ignorance and lies. I'm the hero. I won't back down.

She gave all she had, day after day, hug after hug, kind word after kind word. She slowly became exhausted, and nearly died. But soon she withheld herself and learned to live how she wanted to, and thus was the cure.
I'll take it in stride. One day passes to the next, but all I can control is this moment of now. Maybe tomorrow I'll fall to pieces. But until then, I'll just keep moving on till I'm cured.
I stand, hands clasped neatly in front of me. The jury whispers, duking it out for just one more moment. I fall, spiraling to the ground as a single, deep voice rings out, "Guiiiilty!" I am doomed to die alone.
Darkness. The black of his eyelashes only adds to the beauty of the deep pools of hazel that captivate me. I cannot control my heartbeat when those eyes meet mine and finally I feel at peace. He is home.
