Boots hit the ground in the deep mud as he was walking down the dirt road leading up to his farm. As he got to the porch, his faithful dog Cindy came running up to him, slipping through the mud as it did. He petted it as it rubbed its head against his legs. Inside, he sat down and loaded up his pipe with some tobacco, and lit and began to smoke, reflecting on his thoughts.
