What weapon can we use against such evil in the world? What can possibly help us defeat something so unbearably malicious that neither words or thoughts can fathom it?
Something can help. There's something that can be used; the greatest weapon of all, in fact. We are united. United together as one, all over the planet; united in hope, not fear. And that is what we will use to conquer the evil. We'll never be broken, so long as we are united.
"Stacey, listen to me."
Olivia's hand was reaching out like a shield as she watched the girl's every movement. The heels of Stacey's feet were centimetres away from the cliff edge, and it took all Olivia's willpower not to scream at her.
"You don't have to this, darling," she continued calmly. "Your family and friends need you. Don't let this be the end."
I sit crouched beside the window, my hands clutching my head as I try to muffle the ear-piercing noise from outside. This isn't the good life I was expecting. If people adore me and respect me, that's fine; but this? This is just unbearable. Does no-one care for privacy any more?
Unable to take it, I run to my room, unsure of why I became famous in the first place.
The place on the throne is rightfully mine. I have seen it in my dreams, and from the way God talks to me. The others before me: it is not rightfully theirs. They do not compare to the likes of me. I am perfect for the throne, just like my father told me.
I won't give up the fight. No matter what others say about me, the competition is never over. I will be king of the land: I'll easily win.
It's not something that comes easy. You can imagine it in your mind; you can picture the finishing line; where you will be once you have pushed yourself to it. But in order to get there, you have to run along the racecourse. And that takes willpower. The journey may be hard, the end may seem invisible, and you may stumble along the way. But embrace your willpower, and you will get there: believe in yourself. You are strong enough to accomplish anything.
The bars hold me like a bird in a cage. I stare at him; he stares right back. He thinks he owns me, but nothing could be further from the truth. I own him, and I own everything around me. Just wait until I get out of this. Yes, I am a bird in a cage; but you see, I am not just any bird: I am an eagle. And I am going to kill you.
