I used my camera for the first time in a long time today. It felt amazing. I had spent so much time taking pictures and dressing up models and moving props around in highschool and college. And I had a great time doing it. Why did I stop? And why did it take me so long to pick up the camera again?

props

The props were all set out on the table. The play was about to begin. I kept an eye on the one thing I needed. All of the other items on that table were just extras. None of them were really essential to the show. But my prop. The one thing I use off of that table. That is the showstopper.

He made the statement that his mother was not in town at the time of the murder. "She was in Chicago." , he explained, "She couldn't have done it, This is ridiculous that you would even think someone like my ma would do that to anybody. She wouldn't hurt a fly."

gum

The gum was NOT going to come off of the bottom of my shoe. I didn't think this actually happened to people. I mean, I've seen it in cartoons and comics, but I have never actually had gum stick to my shoe. What do people do in this situation?

The instructions were as follows: Get into the car, tell the driver that Margie sent you, close your eyes, wait. Aunt Margie was sending me on a scavenger hunt. But for what?

The suspects all got in line. It just so happened that they got in line in order of height, shortest to tallest. It made me think of those cell phone commercials where they show the bars. i smiled a little at the idea. it was the first time I'd smiled since it happened. Supposedly, one of the men in that line is the one. The man that killed my daughter.

I'm on patrol. Walking back and forth along the line of this fence. I don't know what I'm looking for, but I know to be alert and to not stop looking. I don't question anything. Out loud. I don't understand how we came to this point. All men over the age of 16 walking along this fence with guns. Why is there even a fence? What could be on the other side that is so dangerous to our existence?
