I burrowed into the dirt hole, not knowing exactly where I was going.
"Come on," whispered Eris, a Carbon.
"Why can't we just go in from the outside? Why do we have to go underground?" I groaned.
"Are you kidding? He's the Ice King. We'd be frozen in a second."
In the metropolis of Uod, there are the large mushroom-like things that act as skyscrapers. The scaly skin of the mushrooms have greater efficiency and durability than any sort of metal alloy humans can think of, protecting the schools and businesses from the elements.
It is my own creation. What have I done? What have I brought upon this earth? It stares up at me with its multi-faceted eyes, flanked with shards of something that looks like glass. It could be good, it could be bad---I gave it free will. Maybe I should not have done that. But God gave us free will, and so we ourselves should have free will to give other things free will.
Speaking of God---I should not have done this---here go the elements, marching in a row.
I was punished merely for putting on my pointe shoes. "They're drugs," said the principal. "They're illegal." I understood nothing. Pointe shoes had absolutely nothing to do with drugs, but ever since the great marijuana-fueled riot of 2017, security personnel were insanely paranoid. Therefore, my pointe shoes had to go in for examination and it took three days---three days!---to get them back. And even then, I had to fill out forms.
