I don't know what an alarmist is but I feel like it's a person who deliberately likes to make people worried. Like a trickster but not really making jokes. Just making things up to other people in order to see their anxiety. Or maybe like a test to see their true potential or something, I don't know.
The rubber tires screeched on the gravel street, stopping at the curb of a suburban townhouse. The street wasn't used to these sounds, it was a street of people who obeyed laws and didn't get speeding tickets.. they were normal.
