It had been the one word that had terrified her since she had first begun trying on dresses. None of them had fit right and that, she had been assured, was the way things always worked. Nothing was supposed to fit right right off of the hanger. Which, when you really thought about it, was the dumbest idea she'd ever even heard of. Why would you want to buy something you know didn't fit? Why would you allow a saleswoman to convince you to spend thousands more than you had budgeted for in order to pay hundreds more for costly alterations?
