  19. I realized today that words flow unhindered from the lips of the world. Humans have become reliant on the constant ebb and flow of conversation. Its presence in our lives has etched in the intricate delicacies of our society’s architecture.

I can only dream the simplicities of a silent day. A glimpse into the freedom of -unetched- architecture. A day where the world stands silent, even if for only the briefest of moments.

Mouths poised, frozen between syllables, in unspoken words.

  20. Seeing buildings in large cities makes me happy. I want to perch on top of each like a gargoyle observing all that happens below me. I’d love to see the people swept up in the rush of the day. The animals frittering about, carrying on much like living things do. I want to hold my hands together and do a swan dive and let the wind whisk past me as I free fall into a happy, frenetic rush — but not colliding with the Earth, just casually falling back into place with the flow of the day.

    Drew Smith
  21. The architecture was worn away from years of wind brush and neglect. The pillars crumble yet echos of it’s former glory remain. The sun beats down bleaching the marble white. It glimmers in a halo of Devine power.

  26. Zach Archambeau. Old dreams obstructed by childish, obscene temptations and natural fallacies. He’s obviously screwed. I’m not sure what will happen to all of those people whose lives get thrown away. Who will he ever become? His soul is lost to that place where failures go. if i ever end up like that, I feel like I couldn’t go on. But who dictates who ends up as a success and who ends up as a failure? No god could possibly be that cruel.

  28. I see a building stretching to the sky…
towering over the spots in my mind.
    Where are we going?
    Where have we been before..
We are just moments to history past.
I see a lot of life in you.
I see a lot of life in you.
    The shape of your body.
    A temple to discover.

  30. We make architecture with our twining fingertips – here is the church here is the steeple, here are our shimmering glimmering smashing hearts, like glass snowglobes shattering against the door, glass and sparks flying like a spray of bright coins. Here is my heart. Here are your lips. Here my mouth touches your cheeks and here promises spin out into the sunlight, weightless, weighted, like paper swans dying to swoop and swoon and soar.

  33. The architecture that surrounds us often defines not only our creativity, but our culture as well. It is a physical, aesthetic representation of the vague workings and organizations of our collective collaboration. It is not only the form that is important but it also helps to define the function. The form of architicute varies greatly from culture to culture, but the underlying ideals of the functions of archeticture often remains the same. Mankind has an overwhelming need to not only provide shelter for themselves but to formulate an integrated canvas into the world’s overall dimensions.

    Chris

    Haley Shaw
  36. Wonderful isn’t it? The beauty of a building is incomparable. The way someone can take imagination to new heights . . . literally. Architecture is just beautiful. No one can make something so beautiful other than the architect. Amazing. Just amazing.

  37. Isn’t architecture beautiful? I’ve just found out that architecture is a difficult word to type. It is an interesting twisting of the fingers. Anyway, architects are some of the masterminds of the world. Beauty is found in the eye of the beholder. The beholder must be the architect.

    Shannon Fields

  40. She knew this place like the back of her hand, but the old Greek artchitecture seemed to look different at night. Maybe it was the way the moonlight hit the tops of the columns, or the fact that she couldn’t see five feet in front of her. But she didn’t have time to stop and stare, she needed to keep moving.
