  1. there’s a band that i love and i’ve loved them from the beginning of time it seems. they rock my socks off and my eardrums are thankful. music is life and life sounds pretty.

  2. The band had split after Amy took her last breath. What was the point as she was the very oxygen and strength of every musician in the group. We all went home, contemplating the many ways we may join her on the other side. “We only said goodbye with words…”

  3. I loved bad when i was in High school.. it was my best subject.. and i still wasn’t very good at it.. what’s your favorite band? i like a lot of different bands..and i don’t think i have a favorite… hmm never really thought about it..

    Alysha
  4. I have spent way too many hours with a marching band. When I see the word band, I think of drama, people kissing on the back of a dark school bus with the “good kids” playing pictionary at the front of the bus with the director. They were good times though.

  5. He snapped the dirty metal bands around her wrists, chaining her to the damp concrete wall. She fought against the unforgiving metal, and cursed him with her fierce green eyes. But she remained mute. She would not give him the pleasure of begging for her freedom.

  6. I finally just started listening to The Rolling Stones these past few weeks and am seriously questioning why it has taken me this long to listen to such a great band in depth. Not to mention how great some of their live performances are, they really epitomize what I like in a band, yet it has taken me all these years to really listen but I’m glad I finally did.

  7. There we were, on stage; the room packed with people. Our hands were trembling. Ice cold. From the distance, I could see a few paper balls being tossed our way. But the show must go on, right? The crowd didn’t seem to like us one bit, and why would they? But I looked at the other guys and we couldn’t have been happier. We loved every minute of it. I guess I know why they call it a band- because we were stretched, and remained elastic. But I suppose every elasticity has its breaking point.

  8. She finished up the last notes with a self-satisfied flourish, and grinned as she turned towards Mike. “Hey, that was pretty good, right?” He grinned back. She’d be lying if she said her heart didn’t flutter just a little bit when he smiled that way.

  9. the band. it plays. marching band. they march. the rock band. they strum. the band of friends. they talk. the rubber band. it stretches then lets go. they all let go, eventually. its a sad truth. bands, they grow, then undo.

  10. Band! Marching band! I’m so excited for band camp, I am the epitome of a band geek and one day I do so dearly to hope to conduct some world famous orchestra. But, I never know if my heart is always in it. I feel like I’m doing things for the wrong reason most of some of the time, even if that reason doesn’t hurt anyone… I need to write. Now.

  11. I used to act like I was BEST friends with all these bands. Granted, I did hang out with one band like every day last summer, but I acted like it was a big deal. Now they’ve broken up, they sucked in the first place, and all my friends thought I sounded really lame for a WHILE.

  12. There was a powerful wind and whistling zipped past her ear. Then her hair band broke. Her long blonde strands cascaded down like a waterfall of liquid gold. They hung about her thin, milky shoulders in a shimmering curtain. Her expression was stupefied, but he fell in love all the same.

  13. Rubber Band. Music band. T-shirt with the band if i had to have a t-shirt that said tht id feel soo uncool, because i obviously was not with the band.

  14. Like really, this was fucking insane.
No way was she actually going back stage to meet the lead singer of the band
It was already enough that she had actually gone to a mother-fucking concert, first of all, as she basically did bat-shit nothing exciting in her life.
But going to meet the lead singer of the band?
She might as well have been singing “Love Game” to Gandhi and making out with him.

    Elin MacRae
  15. The band around my waist barely stretched, but I somehow managed to wiggle my way out of it slowly. I didn’t remember where I was or how I got here, but I was here and now it was time for me to leave. This was not my home, this was not my place in the world. the invisible band could not hold me; I would not let it. I would scream to the world, yell at the top of my lungs, if that’s what it took to release myself from this prison. If it was the only way, I would gladly break my shy nature and do it.

    Alexandrea Peters
  16. The band was better than I expected. Separately, they’re just a bunch of misfits. But boy oh boy, there is something about drummers that drives every girl crazy.

  17. You are a one man band

  24. I loved and hated band. Mrs. Howard was the best band teacher in the entire world. It started with the clarinet. But I hated practicing. My cousing Jenny would always try to challenge me for first chair. and Diann Noack would do the same. I got tired of it, so I switched instruments. Enter the bass clarinet. Oh, the trouble reading the bass cleff–but it did help me improve my piano skills–something else I never practiced either–except if there was a recital coming up–or a competition. Then I would practice hours and hours. Even college was like that. Band and piano were like math to me. I could do them, and Iwasn’t to bad at them, but when it came down to it, I just didn’t care for either of them.

  25. I wish I was in a band. I wear bands on my wrist. I also really enjoy hair bands…and headbands. I also love computers and internet services that have a nice BAND width, YES! I also think that Eminem song My Band is soooo catchy!! My Band…My Band….Yeah Baby.

    Emily

  28. It was a nice evening. The sun was well set and the stars shone brightly down on the restaurant’s private balcony.

The candles gently illuminated the fine food on the red, silk tablecloth. I was definitely attending one of the most romantic dates in history. I sat and waited.

She walked through the doorway. A picture of elegance, with a dress greener than envy and eyes as blue as 50’s Jazz.

As she sat down at the table to join her fiance, I picked up my cello and began to play. Of all the nights to be in the band.

  29. I used to write stories about bands. Not like…. About being in a band, but about girls who fall in love with boys in bands. I always felt that there was a lack of such things in modern literature. Its always high school or vampires or werewolves and bullshit… Where’s the music?

  30. I thought we were banded together by our left-handedness and our three sugars to one cup of tea. But those shallow similarities can’t keep a friendship together. It only makes a relationship seem cool to outsiders. We were destined to split. They didn’t appreciate my rational advice, and they ignored my serious problems all while drowning in their own self-inflicted ones. And I was supposed to care and give in to their narcissism. But I was done. It was all give and no take for me. And when they had used me up to the last drop, I would explode, and things would never be the same.

  31. She stared down at the old band t-shirt and sighed. It was old and a few sizes too large for her to wear, but it still held so many memories. She traced the faded signatures with her index finger and smiled as that day came rushing back. She folded it up and shook her head. “Not today,” she murmured.

  32. band. we have band at school. im kinda in the band, but not. im in orchestra. i love orchestra. i play the cello and have a really kick ass conductor. wow. trumpet. trombone. TUBA!!! whoooooo!!!

    Kayla?
  33. I’m listening to the song “Down by the river side.” Ironically the word at the top is band, and I cannot name the band who is singing this song. It’s very remincent of old slave house songs, when african americans sang about how to get free. It’s kinda inspirational.

    Derekrife
  34. The band on her finger held no meaning all the years they spent together. But now in his absence she glanced at it every other moment. It held the same importance to her that their pictures and his scent did… it was a reminder of his presence in her life. A reminder that he was once here giving her his love.

  35. I’m not really into seeing bands. I like music that’s on the radio and I don’t have any care or concern if its “over-produced” or “fake”. I’ve never had an interest in exploring new music or wanting to see or discovery new bands. Maybe, if I had the talent, I might want to be in a band.

    C Fox
  36. I have always wanted to be part of “the band”, one of “the band”, the singer of “the band”. It all seems so glorious: the lights, the make up, the clothes, the hair. But, of course, the band consists mostly of my brothers… No one wants to be in a band with their brothers….

    Emily T.
  37. I like this band named “cults.” They have a wonderful psychedelic-rock sound that hints at dark thoughts and, well, cults.

    Katalyn Ward
  38. I’m not really a big fan of most bands. To be honest, I don’t usually know the names of the bands who make the music i listen to. I hope they don’t mind. I like the music but I don’t usually care about the back story. Maybe I’m shallow?

    Rachel
  39. I already wrote about this today…but i’ll write again. I Love maroon 5. They’re my favorite band ever. Enough said. haha

  40. I think of wedding bands.
Getting married, all that merry stuff.
I want a pretty dress but not to fancy, maybe not all the way to the ground.
