  1. Not brushed again! I keep hitting the back arrow thinking that this will reload and give me a new word to work with. When I think of brushing, my first instinct is to refer to a toothbrush. Giving it some more thought, however, I can see how it would lead someone to think of brushing a pet.

  2. I couldn’t even say that I am brushed up on my spanish. There was once a time where I could speak fluently, navigating Argentinian grocery stories and bus stops, and making some friends & smiles along the way. Three years later, and I can hardly have a cohesive conversation in spanish. I think I need to think about ways to continue to brush up on my skills – maybe an impromptu trip to Spain?

  8. One day i was walking my dog and i brushed his fur and it became really poofy like it becomes to me when i brush my hair. So i walked and then i started running and he could not keep up with me so i slowed down and i figured he was tired which was really unlikely and so i came home to see what had happened……….. Dun Don Dun……. I came home and i saw what had made him go slower it was his leg!!! I couldn’t believe it!!! I had made sure he was safe and now i thought that it was when i started to run that he ran into a stick or something like that. I had to take him to the vet!!!!!!

    Red. Red everywhere. I looked up at the ceiling, and instead found him watching me with an extremely bored expression. “You fainted, pussy.” He spoke with a small smirk over his face. I jumped up and on momentum, smashed our foreheads together.

He’d always imagined that the metal of his first armour would be like a sheet of glass for his fingertips to dance over, light and easy – but the reality of it was that it was brushed, as though a thousand tiny battles had already fought against it and lost.

    Sometimes he liked things to meet his expectations, but he rather liked it better this way.
