  3. The guy on a buffalo chased a cougar out in the field it took some time, but they had finally caught him with minimal cuts and bruises. Once they got back to their camp they cooked the cougar after finding out that it wasn’t the legendary cougar some of the town folk call “Death Claw”. It was very thick and tender but it was also awesome!

    It was the code word for “sexy but brutish male approaching”. I ducked and grabbed a magazine along with the other girls in the group, and we pretended interest in the articles. These football buffs with their popped collars and bulging arms thought they were the shit, but we didn’t have time for them, not until they’d passed and we could grade the quality of their asses.

    “A five,” Nancy said beside me, shrugging. The guy looked back over his shoulder, confused, and I stifled a laugh.

  9. Once we saw a buffalo in a national park. The kids were so excited that we stopped the car and jumped out and took about 20 pictures. Reluctantly, we got back into the car to drive on. Already, we missed seeing the buffalo. It was such a great experience. We drove on. Then, about a mile down the road we crested a hill and looked out over the plain and saw the herd: 200 buffalo. More than we could bear. We could imagine what it must have looked like in the days when buffalo blanketed the landscape. But, I still longed for that one buffalo who had made us so happy.

  10. Thunderous noise came into hearing as I sat by the field. How I ended up there, I had no idea, but the noise became ever louder, though I couldn’t see its source. It sounded like a stampede.

  14. what more can I say about the animal that helps the Filipino farmers in planting in the rice fields. What a strong creature! It endures the tiresome job and they are indeed very reliable. I am of course referring to the water buffalo.

  19. There was a preponderance of buffalo coming down the main avenue, and it was no surprise to the residents there. They had built the town close the open plains, and wildlife often made its way down the central corridor of the town. The townsfolk didn’t talk much about the incident with the wolves from several months ago.

  23. I’ve never seen a buffalo in person before but one time my dad took me to this shop out in the middle of nowhere and they sold pieces of buffalo shit and people actually bought them. I remember asking my dad to buy me some sort of buckeye or something o don’t think it was edible it was just a little ball and I wanted one so I got one. Weird huh.

  29. Mother Buffalo slipped her horns under Calf’s head in an attempt to raise him, but as she gently lifted her head he slid off, his small head landing with a thud on the frozen ground. Mother Buffalo stood motionless as she watched the last vapour of breath escape Calf’s emaciated frame. A moment passed filled with nothing but the sound of Mother’s breathing. Gently she bowed down and nudged Calf in hopes he would respond. But Calf just lay there limp. Mother Buffalo turned slowly, a gentle but penetrating moan riding on her breath, and with a gait filled with a grief as magnificent as her size she departed from Calf to join the herd
