    I look at it with apprehension and fear… and I would feel my fingers tremble and fear flowing through my body as my fingers extend to grab it

    When did I get so insecure to the extent that I cannot eat anything anymore?

  11. I’d been struggling ever since I was 14 years old and my grandpa told me, quite calmly from his swivel chair, that my ass was fat. I started keeping a journal in which I recorded my daily calorie intake. I suddenly became much better at math and by the end of the summer I had lost 20 pounds.

  17. Calories are important during weight loss or weight gain. A person that is trying to loss weight cannot consume too many calories. A person trying to gain weight must consume healthy calories. Counting calories can be tedious, but it’s necessary.

  21. we all think of the word calories as something to burn, but in my case thats something completly different. Thats something i have to gain.

  22. unhealthy relationships within society cause people to constantly count calories. Not to mention that calories are a necessity, but we now see it as an evil that should be constantly restrained within constraints

    She was a busy bee, always planning way too much in one day and more often than not, forgetting to include a time to eat.

    Calories were precious treasure to her when she did get around to eating, though.

  25. Terribly overratted… counting calories that is. It’s mind numbingly odd the amount of paper wasted on the worry of over eating calories and the grief that this brings. Much better off just going with it and enjoying what you eat.

  26. I wish that I wasn’t so obsessed with calories. and then i give up and overeat so very much. and the truth is, that it’s about health. i eat so poorly. and i wish i could be healthier. but it’s so ridiculous. I wish that we could just lose weight.

  29. Food. Eating. Something that holds way too much weight over too many people’s heads. Lives shouldn’t be guided by something so small as a number. Eat what you want, when you want. You only live once. You want to eat that double decker burger that’s dripping with grease you go right ahead!

I finished it off with the extra thick mint chocolate fudge chip supreme shake, and instantly I felt like I needed to be rolled out of the diner like some sort of over inflated inner tube. As I sank down into the dry red cushions of the seat, I watched as my date looked on with what appeared to be a combination of fear and awe staining his face like his cherry soda.

  37. i never seen to get enough of them yet others hoard them all to themselves. Its just as hard to gain weight as it is to loose weight. I get tired of people telling me how lucky I am to be so skinny I’m not happy with the way i look either my self image has problems too.
