I have only been to a couple camps in my life and as far as I can remember, I have only gone camping once. The most scarring memory of camp was church camp. I am a highly devoted Christian and I was not opposed to what they were teaching me, instead, they claimed that if I did not go up to the church camp with my church, I would not be able to be confirmed with the Lutheran Church and hence not a child of God. Needless to say, I do not still attend that church.
Every summer me and my family go to the lake. When we go to the lake we camp there for a couple of days. Sometimes it gets boring there cause there’s nothing to do except for fishing and hiking. My dad likes it though cause he’s in to fishing, as well as my brother.
When we go on vacation every year we go to camp on the lake. We bring tents and a trailer to sleep in. When we are there we go hiking, fishing, and we walk around the campgrounds. Once when we were camping we found a baby squirrel laying on the sidewalk. It was the best camping trip we’ve ever had in a long time.

I love to camp. It is so much fun. I don’t like it though when there are rattlesnakes. They scare me because my sister was almost killed by one. I also am scared because she was allergic to the antidote.
Summer draws near, and excitement is stifled by the dwindling monotony of school days. Outside the window nature and new friendships call out, inviting. S’mores not optional.
The camp was horrible: nothing like the children expected. As the little ones carried the bricks to where the older children were building a few walls, they remained unaware of how the building being built would soon be used for their imminent doom.
Camp: a time of roasting marshmallows and making friends; a time of setting fires to sticks and to our hearts. The memories of camp, long sitting in the cobwebbed corners of my brain, came flooding back the moment I saw her.
One time I went to camp. I had a fun time at camp. Okay, I lied. I never went to camp. I’m just writing because this random site told me to write about the word camp. I’m trying to use camp in everyword I type. Is everyword a word? I don’t think so. Well, I’m gonna have to go. SO yeah, see yah. I’m terrible at spelling right?

ALL IS SET.
Lie down, let the stars glisten and shimmer down on you. Run, get wild, be free. Left and right, ropes and sticks, mallows and bonfire.
Rough it out, experience life.

Camp. I really didn’t like camp. I was stuck in a Christian all girl camp at first. Then a month long Jewish camp once… Both terrible. I am not a camp person. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t enjoy being stuck at home, but geez, I am NOT a summer camp person. Ya, I only thought summer camp. Really scarred me. Ugh… Summer camp…

I love going to church camp. It is my favorite time of year. We take one week and go into the middle of nowhere and are secluded for one week. There are cabins, tents, and trailer hookups. We have chapel in the morning, lunch, recreation, rest, chapel in the evening, and then campfire at night.

Camp. Bonfires, s’mores, rivers, lakes, swimming, little kids running around. Sweat, team-building away from home. Away from mom, away from dad, away from all your favorite friends. College. Lonely.
The camp of my mind, I set up camp in all kinds of places and stay for a little while. Inventing situations and then leaving them behind to burn out with the fire.
I go through entire life times in the span of a train ride, following the story according to my surrounds and then leave, forgetting it forever.

There are two associations with camp. The lakeside place of childish pleasure and fun filled with popsicle sticks and campfires. The other is the morbid deathly concentration of human beings piled high dead and alive. The extremity of double meaning is immense in this case.
The little girl in the woods with her parents, the man watching from afar in his car; both camping. And after he took her, he camped out for weeks in his mother’s basement, until they found him and the little girl, luckily still alive.
He wore red feathers and a hula hula skirt – camp didn’t begin to describe the look

YAY. I’M GOING CAMPING THIS SUMMER. But, seriously. Camping is the essence of survival. Humans do it to get away from themselves. Some do it because they can. Some do it to feel good about themselves.

You do all the important things in life (food, sleep, sing), and not the unnecessary ones (showers, emails.)

Summer is full of sweet romance and tender childhood memories. Camp is just where they begin to escape from fantasy into reality…

This summer I am going to rock and roll camp. Have you ever seen the movie Camp Rock? It is kind of like that. I am going to be in a rock and roll band. I like rock and roll. I like to rock out.
I want to camp on a hill under the stars. And then pull the stars down one by one until my hill reaches beyond the sky. I’d then be able to understand everything.

I go to MMADD camp every year. There, I feel at home. I see my friends who might as well be my family. I sing, I dance, and I just worship God and feel wonderful. This year’s my last year. It’s terribly sad that I’ll never go back after this year. It’s hard to imagine life without MMADD. I don’t know what I’ll do.

i work at a summer camp every year for 3 weeks. what started as a way to get closer to a girl turned out to be the greatest month of my year, and all I look forward to. Take the time to make a difference in kid’s lives, and you will be changed more than you could ever imagine.
His whole life felt emptied out. Vacant. He was nothing. Walking nothing. He was the epitome of camp. And yet he continued walking in spite of his droll insight. The falls were only a few miles off. He could still make something of himself.
This is the place where I have been going every summer since sixth grade. It actually consumes my entire life – I have the proof in all of my notebooks and pictures and every time I have a thought. It’s not just a summer camp, is the thing. It’s this entire insulated life, working with a perfect system. Everyone respects each other, everyone knows how everything works, and you get up each morning and do it again.

Camp.
I like to camp in the woods. It’s kinda a tradition in my family to every weekend to go camping.
The camp was horrible: nothing like the children expected. As the little ones carried the bricks to where the older children were building a few walls, they remained unaware of how the building being built would soon be used for their imminent doom.

why do people roast marshmallows? does it really taste better?
and what is the deal about campfire songs?
what does it mean when people tell you you’re “campy”?

the camp was situated on the hill. the tent had a beautiful red colour and the sunset had made it really awesome.
