  11. I’ve claimed a lot of things in my life. I have claimed to be a writer, even though I hate what I write (e.g. the first sentence of this paragraph). I’ve claimed to be a filmmaker, though the only movies I have made were one-minute zombie spoofs filmed on a friend’s cellphone. I have claimed to be a martial artist, even though there are people and who could kick me into the next country. I have claimed to be a hardworking student, even though I don’t study anything. I don’t completely know what my direction in life is at this point. I’ve taken to busying myself with extracurriculars because it fills a void I dealt with for the first year of college. For now, it’s fine. But I worry about my future. I worry that my lack of direction will force me to continue a financially unstable life. I just want my own house and family and pets and I just want to be able to support those around me who need it.

  33. So you claim to know all about me. You think you know the shadows and the cobwebs. You think that you can reach into the depths of me and come out unscathed? I don’t know all of the parts of myself, sometimes, but you claim to know and still love me? God, how can you do that? How can you have sent your son to die for me, knowing who I am, what I think, what I do? HOw can you be so perfect in love that you are able to reach around all of the things I’m ashamed of and just hug me and love me and want me to come to you. I thank you for it… but I’m so confused! I can’t even love myself sometimes… and I know that I don’t give you the time you deserve… but I still get love and gifts from you. I have Heaven coming to me… and it’s because of nothing I’ve done or have yet to do. I thank you… that’s the only response that makes sense. I have to thank you because there’s nothing else for me to do. I want to thank you because I don’t have any other response that works. Thank you God, thank you. I wonder sometimes what you think of my humor… what you think of my thought processes. Are you proud of me? Do you like what you see. Do you like some parts of me that I don’t ever think about or share? Is there something cool that you planted in my very fiber that I’ve not even seen yet that you’re just itching to activate to have something great happen? Or, am I just glossing over things that you consider great that I don’t even see… don’t even realize I’m doing? Or, more likely by my mind, maybe there’s nothing that’s really crazy special… you just do what you do through me and I am less. I don’t have any problem with that… I just wonder what’s going through your mind in regards to me. So, someday I hope to be in your heaven and that you’ll tell me about me… the way YOU see me. That would be interested. OH, and I also want to know about all the worlds you created and what they look like on the surface. I’m a nerd… what can I say! I really love some of your creations and I’m so interested to know what they really look like and what they are made of. So… what do you think? Am I ready to know what you have for me?
