  4. With specific instructions like “do not, whatever you do, open this box,” the act of not opening the box was becoming increasingly more difficult as Cedric drove past the midnight hour. He hit the quiet interstate.
It was small, about the size of a bread box, or so Cedric imagined. He wasn’t quite sure how big a bread box was; he’d never even seen a bread box.
It looked like an ornate little treasure chest with a small latch and keyhole. It sat there, on the passenger seat, looking as tempting and irresistible as it could possibly will itself to, and Cedric passed a glance at it every so often.
“I’m not going to open you,” said Cedric, trying to convince himself more than the box. “I’m not. Now just sit tight and stop looking at me like that.”
He knew little more about his employer than he did the man in Tallahassee he was bringing the box to. It’s good money, thought Cedric, especially for a delivery job.
After another hour, he pulled off I-10 and followed the printed directions, as the box called to him, enticing him.
He ignored it with everything in him, knowing it wouldn’t be worth the risk of either the man in Tallahassee, or his employer, finding out. Idly he wondered what could be inside such an attractive unlocked box that could possibly garner such a hefty delivery fee. And why the secrecy?

  6. There are many things in this world that I do not understand. One of which being why the humans living in the United States are so afraid of the change that they wanted so badly. They fear the man that they put in the highest office. They fear each other because they think differently. Humans fear each other because of who they love and care about. They fear the choices they others around them make about a life form not yet born even if the mother knows what she’s doing. These humans fear other humans for the being that they worship and give praise to for the life that they have. Humans in the United States are not that united, they fight each other on everything; the importance of the subject has little meaning to them. I’m curious to see if these childish creatures known as humans living in the United States on this little blue plant will ever grow up.

I don’t guess we need a cure – we cold try to manage symptoms, that seems more authentic anyway. Symptoms are the stuff of life – what would we do if curiosity drove us around in a Chevy pointing out odd rock formations and the way leafless trees look against the waning orange of the sun? I owe us – nothing. Just manage what you can and smell everything. The sense of smell is really what awakens our curiosity.
