  1. I recently stopped drinking as much. Well, ever since I returned to the US from Taiwan, I don’t drink as much as before, especially after getting my health report back. Also, I just don’t really lose the urge to want to get drunk. I don’t really like that feeling over feeling like I can’t do shit the next day and or not being able to control myself when I’m too blacked out drunk. I’ve also fought the urge of

  6. It’s incredible. Different people think very differently when they hear the question, “would you like to go for a drink?” A drink means many different things to many different people. For some it’s an escape, for some its an opportunity to socialize and connect with others, and for others it is a time of self reflection or even brooding; ‘drink’ is one of those words that means something different to every individual…

  16. its been hard not to take a sip from the cup. it was tempting me all day. one of the things that got me riled up was the fact that we were all banned from experiencing the one thing that we all needed. it was told to us by king larry that there was an important serum that would give one immortal life; however, because we were plebians we were all banned from taking it. this is something that we all decided needed to start a revolution. i got up took my bags and delievered them to the nearest post office and said “here sir. here ya go.”. take everything importnat that belonged to me that i own because clearly my life doesn’t matter to all of the likes of you. and you know what he said, he said “you’re right”. and you know what, “they don’t even care about me to”. so i asked him why he helps out a system that doesn’t help him. he thus proceeded to ask me the same thing. to which i replied that we’re all sheep.

  18. i like to drink a lot because i’m an alcoholic. my favorite drink is jack daniels and malibu. one of the reasons that i like to drink a lot is because i have a lot of problems and i just want to drink all my problms away. i think i had a lot of trauma growing up so the drinks help me stabilize all my issues and view them as if they’re things that aren’t even there. one of the things that i really like about how i feel after i drink is when im not aware of my surroundings and then i just bump into a whole lot of things. it allows me to forget my problems and believe that none of them are there. that’s the type of life that i choose to live. the end

  25. In the moment, she didn’t know what to do. Her internal world was frantic but somber at the same time. She desperately wanted to seem fine, but she was afraid she wasn’t pulling it off and that everyone could see right through her. Everything in her wanted out of the situation. She wanted to avoid it altogether. Avoid the sadness, the want, the dying hope that seemed to never die completely, the insecurity, the images in front of her, the disappointing certainty of her reality. But she was stuck there, so she smiled, danced, and went for another drink and another, hoping it would eventually help her escape one way or another.

  27. so when I go out to restaurants, I typically get something to drink. The only thing is, I start with water because it is free and work my way up to a more expensive beverage. You know; like kool aid. Then, when my check comes back I always wonder, why is my bill so high. The kool aid was only 3 dollars, why am I paying so much for one bill? Then I realize, they charged me for water They charged me for a tasteless drink.

  28. She smiled and nodded again giggling to herself as she slid the drink towards him. “No seriously, this one is on me, women should be allowed to buy a man a drink once in a while too.” He paused feeling a little charmed by the gesture slowly grabbed the tumbler to take a sip. It was a good whiskey sour, the bartender knew what he was doing.

He set the glass down and looked back at her. She was very attractive and she was wearing a long red dress, or perhaps the dress was wearing her. It had been a while since he had been engaged by a woman like this and he was a little rusty with his flirting. “Divorced?” she asked nodding towards his left hand. He still had the telltale tan lines of wedding ring on this finger. “Widowed actually…I only recently got the strength to finally remove the ring.” He had not intended for the conversation to turn so sullen so quickly. “Oh! I’m so sorry, I never would have guessed” she said in a surprised tone of voice. A long pause ensued and he took another big sip of his drink.

Her soft voice broke the silence “it’s probably for the best” she said slowly and coldly while looking straight ahead. He was shocked by her response. “Come again?” he asked. He was starting to feel a bit loopy from the strong drink and figured he misheard her. “The dead wife, it makes things a lot easier for me.” This time he knew he heard right, and he didn’t know whether to be angry by her rude comment or impressed by her boldness.

She saw his conflicted expression and giggled. “Enjoying the drink?” she asked. He glanced at the glass, now it was really starting to kick in, he wondered if he was always such a lightweight. He mumbled “yea..itss goood.” His arms were starting to feel heavy. “Good! What I mean is that I don’t need another woman at home worrying about you or trying to find you.” His brain shot back to sobriety at her words and for a brief moment he realized his drink had been spiked. As he collapsed he grunted “oh shiiiit” and a loud thud echoed across the empty bar as he hit the floor.

Looking up with blurry vision he could see the woman and bartender speaking to each other but he couldn’t hear their words, then she walked out of sight. The bartender came around to stand over him “Okay buddy, what the lady says goes around here, and she says she has big plans for you. Have a good sleep.” and he passed out just as he felt the bartender grabbing his feet.

  29. The woman in the red coat sits down at the corner of the outside bar, where the sun hits her shoulders at such an angle that the velvet ripples like Moses’ Red Sea. She crosses one leg over the other, showing off the silver buckles on her Italian shoes, and orders a drink strong enough to knock out a giant with an alcohol problem.
