The gallery show included old silver photos. She was intrigued by their misty forms and dark shadows. But then she saw one image which shocked her. In the light and shadow of the image, there was a face – her own, down to the detail of the scar between her eyes.

The gallery was packed with people, making it hard for Sally to see where James was. He had said he was by some statue of a lady holding an apple in the life sized statue area, but for the life of her, she could not spot him or the statue anywhere. It was time for drastic measures.
