  1. on the cake! it’s yummy. I used to eat icing straight out of the tub a few years ago. people thought I was weird. I would walk all the way to Jewel just to get my “mood” food. it was usually a Monster, cheez-its and a tub of icing. I would put it in a ziploc baggie and cut off the tip and then squeeze it out in pretty designs on my finger.

  2. on top of a wedding cake, funny that the word that most formulate while thinking of dairy products happens to take me to the thing i fear the most. a lifetime promise. commitment. I cant even begin to express exactly how fast my heart beasts whens i think of this. but sadly, deep inside, i know that it is something i truly wish for. an unrealistic dream.

  3. Icing is good, sometimes. I’m really picky about it. I don’t like that dry sugary icing. I love buttercream and cream cheese. I love whipped frosting. Chocolate frosting is good. I generally don’t like plain vanilla frosting.

  4. The icing fell from his fingers, he didn’t know what to do. He just stared at it as it dripped lovelingly to the floor. Oh how he loved his icing, licking it from his sticky fingers to make them clean again. How he cherished the sweetness. Yum.

  5. icing is very delicious to eat out of the can thingy even though it is very unhealthy. I still eat half the can thing when i make cupcakes

  6. I licked the icing off of my fingers. It tasted like candy. I love birthdays even though I’m usually alone. I cut myself another piece of cake and took a bite. Happy birthday to me I thought. I’m another year closer to death.

  7. Cake. Icing on top of the cake. Fattening. Crystalized sugar. Temporary relief, but in the end it will only hurt you. But without it, cake is icky. Just saying.

  8. Te stuff on a cake. But its also the thing that makes life sweet. people go through the itterness in their life just so they can reach the icing. its the part people look forward to, the erason we push through the things we have to do so we can enjoy the outcome.

  9. Cake. Good God, I love cake. Some people like the literal cake. As in, spongy goodness with sweet, creamy icing on top. And some people like the non-literal kind. Just happiness in a little morsel. Now, that’s the best.

  10. This drawn out summer heat is piercing my senses.
The warm breeze tumbles across my face.
I see the children, laughing, playing.
Nothing like a birthday on a sunny summer day.

  11. The icing on the cake is not when I waited three fucking hours today for my boyfriend to come over. It wasn’t when he texted me telling me that he completely fucking forgot, it was when he decided he was having too much fun getting drunk with his friends to even respond to me. That’s what I call motherfucking icing on the single cake.

  12. That was it, the icing on the cake. That sad daughtry song filtering through the window. It pushed her over the edge, and she pulled over. She stared into the endless woods wondering what she could have changed, how her life might have been different. She felt horribly depressed.

  13. Icing is sweet. Sweet as in I put it on a cupcake once and it granted me a sweet serenity. A blessing of desserts, deserted by malice.

  14. me and my friend were at the south of the country. it was pretty hot that day but suddenly the temperature started falling down, and we had just realize that everything around us was turning white when the earth started icing. it looked like a cupcake.

  15. The icing of the cakes, of the special cakes the master had ordered her servants. It wasn’t of any surprise to her when she tasted the deliciously made meal, but, what was it, that tasted so odd?

  16. “Why didn’t you enter the code?” he whispered angrily from under his deep woolen hood.
“That was the best chance we had to finish this whole bloody thing”.
I sat slumped in the softness of the snow, back against the mesh fence watching him warily scan the brightly illuminated area on the other side of the fence for patrols, knuckles white holding his pistol.
When the alarms started, they would be muffled by the falling snow, a heavy blanket of silence, only now icing the tops of the motionless surrounding forest.
    It was too late.

  17. I love to make cakes. But only if there’s good icing to go on it. Of course, good icing is hard to make. For example, I adore buttercream frosting. But its so hard to make I simply would rather make the cheap kind that only takes ten minutes. My mother thinks I’m lazy, but she’s basically a pro chef so she’s a little biased.

  18. icing is a term that is used to describe the topping that is put on cake or other pastries. to me, however, icing is a term that means a foul play in ice hockey. sending the puck down the ice behind the center red line and having to go past the opposing teams goal line without a player touching it is icing.

  19. His tongue moved down her body as if he were licking the icing off a cupcake. There was force behind each lick. He tasted her, savoring the feel of her skin against his tongue.

  20. Mmm…the icing on the cake was thick and sweet. I swabbed a bit off and stuck it in my mouth, licking the sweetness from my finger. Matt bumped my waist and chuckled.
“Hey,” he said, “Save some for the cake.”
“It’s just a tiny bit. The cake won’t miss it.” He smiled, and placed the last bit on top. I moved to the cabinet and grabbed some candles to decorate the rest of it.

  21. The icing on the cake. My best friend is marrying my sister. Me and Tobias have been best friends since first grade. What he doesn’t know is i have been secretly in love with him all along. He is the only one i will love. I hope him happiness, but forever without me.

  22. Icing oh how I love it. More so even than the cake beneath. I guess it means that I like superficial things and perhaps I do.

    Lorraine
  23. Icing on a cake. I actually don’t really like icing. It’s a little too sweet for my taste. One thing I love to do is to take my time and lick the icing off of a cupcake first. I don’t know why. Every time I think about icing I think about all of the different colors it comes in.

  24. Why is the phrase “That’s just the icing on the cake” always used sarcastically in reference to a bad event that tops of a series of negative events? I love the icing on cakes–except for the icing on some store bought cakes. That stuff can be simply nasty. Maybe that’s what the phrase is talking about.

  25. He’d never had something so sweet. The ice crystallized in his mouth before he had a chance to truly taste it. There was something about this shoreline. The way people looked at him in the sunlight. His curls growing ever tighter as the days grew longer.

  26. The icing glimmered beneath the soft glow of the candle’s light. The flame danced as everyone sang an off-key version of “Happy Birthday”. It was halfhearted at best. I kept my eyes on the candles, watching as wax melded with the icing. Birthdays were never a happy year for my family. Especially sixteenth birthdays.

  27. She’d never seen snow like this. The hills were dusted in what looked like frosting, small drops of water hardening on each crest. Is this what it meant, to live in California?

  28. A word i dont know. icing is a word that i didnt learn in school, because i go a a school in germany, where i think this word isnt w#very important. maybe it is something that comes from iceland, because it has 2 letters from the worde ice in it and i seems very cold to me. i also think of the colour white, when i see it beacuse it is very itchy.

  29. when i was little i used to think that icing was delicious. i would eat it when my mother made cakes and it would make the tips of my fingers sticky. now, i can’t really handle how sweet it is. so whenever i bake for my parents, i have to not add too much icing or i won’t even touch what i’ve made. my parents, however, love the stuff and constantly tell me i need to add more. and i don’t know if i ate too much as a child or if i have grown up enough to not like sweet things anymore.

  30. Its a beautifully yummy thing,
you can spread it like butter or eat from a tub
it can sooth and heal or so I hear
a scoop for your heart aches
a jar for all things broken
and sooner then you know it
you’ll be all healed up again

  32. Cake is so good! It reminds me of birthdays and getting older. Most say that getting older means getting more mature. But i believe that isn’t true. Some people are 20 and still act 2.

    Bel
  33. And really, the icing on the cake was hardly a surprise – he’d simply stopped coming by, returning her calls. As if he’d never existed in the first place. Only he had, and the child growing in her womb wouldn’t let her forget him.

  34. Icing a cake is something we all did with our parents of grandparents when we were young. It wasn’t the baking of the cake but the decorating and spoon liking that you waited for. Icing has always been there on the big events in our lives and will continue to be there too

    Emma
  35. I took a class at this little bakery down in the back of the alley. We learned to make icing and frost the ever loving shit out of some cakes. It was fun. I found out later it was a front for a human trafficking operation, so I suppose that puts a damper on that memory.

  36. Is fairly delicious. It goes on birthday cakes, cookies, and all sorts of stuff. There are cupcakes as well.. And the store icing. Icing reminds me of ice.. Ice weasels live in the ice in Iceland and create tiny burrows and do ice weasel things. They probably would like icing.

  37. the icing fell from the side of the tall cake, melting the ice cream that sat to its side. oh man that looked good. I hadnt eaten in days and the next client eats that?

“May I help you?” the snotty woman asked.

    Jade Carter
  38. The icing on the floor made me cry even more…This was a wreck. My whole wedding as over. All because of some floozy girl on the street..Why? This was supposed to my fairytale.

    Emilee
  39. they used to call it icing. you know, in hockey, when you go past two lines without touching the puck?

at least i think that’s what it was called. maybe it still is.

so much has changed. i used to watch the rangers play in new york. their practices were so cool. we’d get autographs and take pictures. a 15 year old girl’s dream to hang out with cute older boys. fun!

  40. The icing was delicious, pink and white, and sweet as the chocolate cake underneath it. Mary smiled as she deviously slid a finger over the top, pulling up pink and white icing, and licked her finger. She wasn’t supposed to be in the kitchen, she knew, but the cake was too enticing. Her mother would surely punish her if she noticed some of the icing was missing, so little Mary did what any other child wouldn’t do. She tried to fix the cake herself.
