  16. is a sicky colour? it don’t inspire me.So I’d have to paint a fresh lively patch of turquoise upon it and make then my maroon very dark- and pattern it with tiny stars. OK?

  19. the trouble is I don’t like the colour of the door and I even had to buy paint that colour to repair it, nothing about here is a reflection of me, everything that surrounds me is alien in a way that is something much deeper than interior design

  20. It is a color. It is deep red. I like it.
Maroon also means to be alone like being marooned on an island with someone.

    Vikash Patodia
  21. a 1970s colour somehow, burgundy. Old fashioned, masculine, flock wall paper in traditional british pubs, jaguars the size of boats with matching shiney leather interiors, arterial blood, iron rich and thick, slow to spread beneath the split skull resting on the dirty carpet in the back room, soaking gently into the grubby wilton….

  22. I am thinking of maroon 5 the band and how everyone says that their songs suck, but honestly i think they aren’t that bad aside from that one song featuring Rhianna. My boyfriend also posted a song by them on facebook today and it has been stuck in my head for hours. I, honestly, never knew the lyrics of this particular sonf until now; it went something like “I’m never gunna leave this bed.” I just could never understand exactly what they were saying/. huh, weird.

  23. The color decieved me. I did not know what to think of it. It was not simply purple, nor was it red, but a color in between that was beyond me. My thoughts on it did not connect with the color itself though, but more with the thought of how this color is not all unlike myself. I was stuck in between. I was not only a girl in an era where the opinions of female’s does not matter, no, I was also a tomboy. The type of girl that would rather get mixed up in mud than prance around in silly heels and dresses. I was stuck in between what society expected and what I wished to become. I was stuck in between red and purple. Just like maroon.

  24. Send me away, as far as possible.
Maroon me on an island with any amount
    Of money,
    Tears,
    Beer,
    Coffee,
    and cars,
None of any amount of anything
Will bring me the same satisfaction of a good _______.

  25. It was a deep, dark colour, something one would never expect to find in nature. True maroon. Dan reached out tentatively, fingertips barely brushing the petals, as though to physically touch it would be to remove this wonder forever.

  26. Had some beautiful dreams in the early hours, they were all coated in a delightful shade of my favourite colour; maroon.

  27. I think bout your eyes every now and then,
That odd shade they always seemed to have in the sunlight.
    Maroon.
How odd it is that i write about you now, when i barely remember our time together.
    Except for your eyes.
    Always that same color.

    Louie Lemus
  28. the color always reminds me of those foggy evenings in the hill station. the greenery around, the time is at a standstill and your maroon scarf flying in the air

  29. Maroon reminds me of the tights that I really want to buy for the outfit I wore home on the plane from Europe. It also reminds me of the band–Maroon Five. I’m not sure as to why the band is named Maroon Five… you know, seeing as how none of the members of the group are Maroon-colored in any way, shape, or form. Maroon would also be a lovely fall wedding color.

    Audrey Olson
  30. My favorite color. The color of passion, of things that are ALIVE, of the sunset and the sound of blood pulsing through your veins. The color of my walls, the color that encompasses the thing I love most: life, and the opportunity to be anything I want to be.

  31. The elephant was eating a plum. Not a big plum mind you, just a respectable sized plum for a respectable sized elephant. The Cuckoo sat by watching. He scoffed at the elephants enjoyment of the purple fruit.

  32. Trapped. I am trapped. I am trapped on a desert island. I am trapped on a desert island with no food. I am trapped on a desert island with no food or water. I am trapped on a desert island with no food or water, no shelter or solace. I am trapped on a desert island with no food or water, no shelter or solace, abandoned. I am trapped on a desert island with no food or water, no shelter or solace, abandoned by the one man I could trust. I am trapped on a desert island with no food or water, no shelter or solace, abandoned by the one man I could trust on the boat. I am trapped on a desert island with no food or water, no shelter or solace, abandoned by the one man I could trust on the boat which sank from my sabotage.
I am marooned. I am trapped. Help me.

  33. It’s the most sexiest color. Everything looks rad in maroon. My clothes. My lipstick. My bag. I wish I could walk down a road full of maroon trees and take pictures. Or maybe even an ice cream. With chocolate maroon. THat wo
