it is used to describe some really bright colors- usually blues, yellowa, pinks. it was last summer trend in fashion.

ugh, i hate anything with the neon color. It’s an annoying bright, garish hue! Who ever thought neon anything was attractive was surely mistaken. The only think neon colors are good for are putting them on your kids in a crowded place so you can find them easily!
The only sound that could be heard was the soft buzzing of the neon light signpost, which was rapidly flashing on and off. The night was still. Too still. I could feel that at any moment, something would suddenly jump out. Scraps of paper were blown into poles and into my hand. I could not recognise the language of the writing. Wonderful. With nothing else to do, I casually kicked the ground, hands in pockets. Suddenly, I could feel tiny vibrations in the ground… and the rhythmic beat of drums. Soon after that, distant chants gradually flowed to my ears and I could see faint lights, a campfire. A campfire in the centre of a city.
Neon is a really interesting color that has always fascinated me. I wouldn’t say I’m a big fan of wearing lots of neon but a pop of color always adds interest to the outfit. I am curious, how is neon produced? Of course, a common use of neon colors is in highlig

The city was brighter than I had expected. The lights everywhere were so bright; signs, billboards, advertisements, words of any kind bright in the night sky. It was different from the pastels of home. Everything here was a bright, strange Neon.
Jess
The neon lights left a glare on the windshield as they shone upon the battered old car. I wasn’t sure what had brought me here of all places, but I suppose there wasn’t any turning back now.

The neon lights flashed through her memory as she traveled in her mind, going through Las Vegas all over again. There was nothing she could do about her experiences there, but she remembered the lights pleasantly, at least. Even if nothing else had been remarkably wonderful, the lights had been beautiful. All of the colors, pink, green, red, orange, blue… Gorgeous.
The neon lights beamed from the storefronts along both sides of the street, beckoning him to pass through to the shadowy alley at the street’s end.

It comes and goes as a fashion trend – the pick of teen girls in the ’80s, with hairspray and baubles and sunglsses; now it has resurfaced (again with the sunglasses) and perhaps most annoyingly, with children’s clothes. I guess it makes them easier to spot as they careen around their world, unaware.

Yes, it was the 80’s. A decade remembered for its extravagant hair, tight stone washed jeans, and neon clothing.

The tunnel was full of neon light, which spread high, demonic shades on the walls. She looked carefully into the powerful light which was hurting her eyes and suddenly had a revelation: the world is made of neon light, all its craziness and misunderstanding, shining bright, hurting our eyes. The primary light God has created was the neon light for it holds all the complexity of the universe.
I love those lights that you see when you enter any dance club. The neon color or light, however, give me a challenge to see properly, and i sometimes have difficulty to stand properly.

Neon makes me think of vibrancy of color. Also of lights in New York city. And of the song “Neon” by John Mayer. We saw him in concert for the first time in 2008 and he played that song live, which was a great memory.

The neon colors make my eyes open wide. The pieces of the neon left behind change my thoughts. Neon makes me question my own knowledge. Things in the world are never that bright, and if they are, they’re rare to find. Is everything I’m so convinced of correct? I see these colors and I think, could I be as bright? Couldn’t we all be everything we see? The neon colors changed my perspective on a lot. We don’t look human when we are surrounded in neon. We look alien. We look like we’re ahead of our time. Neon colors remind us that there is no place to go but up.

“Now why would I do that,” she said, “Why would I take your stupid leaflet just to throw it away. Maybe you can see a neon sign above my head saying come here to see today’s fool. Why else would you be pestering me?” Usually she walked around as though invisible, but today avoiding people was hard work. There seemed to be more people about then usual and a lot of noise.
neon is a noble gas. everyday i learn to study about neon. i always play with neon..
i really miss my neon.. he had passed away three years ago..he think he always healthy, but one summer da,suddenly he came to me and suddenly shouted

Dusk. THE WORLD COMES TO LIFE. Zzzzit, the tube flickers for a bit then gently starts to glow in fabulous flamingo.

The moon was bright like a neon sign, almost flashing, as the trees thrashed about violently in the wind. Safe, looking out from my bedroom window, I shudder a little as the thunder rumbles loudly overhead. PLEASE don’t let the kids wake up.

Standing before the great big Neon sign, she wondered is this what her life had become? Resorting to this way of life? She walked under the sign and into her new life leaving her dignity and pride behind.
Neon a light expression
It enlightens activity through casual progression
Through the nightsky, an eye takes a perspective
Seeing darkness as a form of beauty
Captivating what’s not seen

Neon signs are flashing on the left side of the street, illuminating the laughing people and their colorful, laughing friends wearing toothy smiles–but I’m standing on the right side, in front of a dusty old bookshop with no illumination.
The shop closed more than an hour ago, and all I’m accomplishing now is a meager defiance of the “No Loitering” sign behind me. I don’t have a reason to be here, but for some reason, I don’t want to leave.
Not “some reason.” I know exactly why I don’t want to leave.
the was a sign that flashed before my eyes,
it screamed out at me call me from a distance.
i could not ignore it
so i went to see what it had to say.
are my eyes deceiving me i wondered
could this be real

There before her in bright Neon letters was the words she had always dreaded. She stood there unable to move, how could people know she asked herself? How could it be that they too knew what was going on within her. She took a breath in

The lights arose like thousands of stars Ive never laid eyes upon. In the distance can it be true? I am the distance that these neon bugs now lie upon. Our floating is like gallons of joy in the sky, transcending even the basis of truth.
The lights flicker in the sparse world above. In the world I see are the auras of one hundred thousand little lightning bugs all in flight. I am among them as I soar, my eye as wide as the sea below. But I am not flying now an these are not the neon lights I hoped to see.
Emma M. T.
The interesting thing about neon which is also a bit creepy is that it kind of shines from within. By itself. It doesn’t merely reflect light like the rest of us do. It carries within itself a mini generator of light that only gets activated and pushes through in the darkest times.

Neon lights, bright and vibrant, so unlike me right now. I woke up in the middle of the night unable to sleep. Worries filter through my mind. There are so many they have to fight with each other to become the one at the front. I hate this feeling. It needs to end so I can start to live my life happily again and be myself.
The neon sign flickered in the window. I paused. It wasn’t that the store looked bad it was just… more sketchy than I would have liked. Still, I took a deep breath and pushed open the door. A small bell dinged and the girl at the counter looked up at me with a face that screamed bored. “Welcome to Brookfields Bookfields. How can I help you?”
I knew a boy named Neon. He was a unique kid, but his name was suiting enough. It only could’ve been more perfect had his last name been ‘Lights’. He was always bright and glowing. You could never catch him with a frown on his face. He seemed like a nice kid. Too bad I didn’t bother to get to know him.
It’s prophecy, and lies, and lovely tiny rooms with wallpaper from 1964, Songs and the road and lies upon lies.

Neon lights up the world. Colours which illuminate and inspire. It reminds me of highlighters, shopping in WH Smith when I was ten and FASHION!

Neon colors all around me I mean, I expected this from a rave but REALLY. I don’t think I like this. I’m not epileptic but i think i’m beginning to understand their struggle.

the neon lights were dimmed as only the flickering light of a swaying convenience store could have. there was something about that light that made the dark corners of the store scream out in danger. leaving this fear behind i broadened my vision to see the world encompassed in a single flash.
